i had to create 3 different ones.from almost ground level to the gorgeous large one husband gave me for birthday.
we have massive bird migrations here and were having wrs between local, crows, wooddoves, carolina wrens ,jay, cardinals.blue birds and tiny yellow tits,oh and a occassional buzzards.after putting in low ones discovered other wildlife was coming in at night foxes, cats, raccoons and even a poor gopher tortoise who was looking for water in a draught.they seem to share better now.except for the robins who just bully everyone.\the need for water is universal, with the heat waves and not alot of rain they will range to find it.even the large waterbirds here(who can fly a mile to lake or river)will stretch to drink before heading for more wet areas.
we also put out cut fruit and remains of fruit for extra energy.they love it and i have singing in my yard every morning.
