Nope, not unreasonable at all kitty. Our area has also been asked to be careful with what we use; just common sense usage really. My neighbour installed sprinkler systems on his 2 lawns over the weekend and they've been going pretty much non stop ever since.
Having said that, our water company, United Utilities, hasn't exactly invested any money into maintaining the system either. At one point there were 4 reported water pipe bursts, just in our village alone, and water poured down the gutters for days on end. One was so spectacular that the pressure behind it sent water shooting over roof tops!
Things that (sometimes unreasonably) get on your nerves...hopefully lighthearted
