Hedges v pavements

Seeing this article [[ has made me think once again the council could do a roaring trade in offering to cut households hedges if they don't cut them back each year to keep the paths clear.

Roads where I live have some hedges where now more thsan half of the pavement is covered by hedges. Either the owners never walk or they are having difficulty getting reliable hedge cutting services. A definate money making and job creating opportunity being missed. Rant over!.
