It's my birthday on July 8th, 91 years young, so I might just about have bragging rights if and when we start comparing ages!
Don't expect many Cards for the mantlepiece; I'll miss the special "Happy Birthday, Darling xxx one, but not expecting many, certainly not from Grandads!
I might even have to get my own bottle of Shiraz
Glad to find I've managed to find this thread at last, but I promise not to take advantage of our 9 hour time-zone; I'll post at tea-time instead!

Lovely warm sunshine in West Sussex where we are for the weekend to celebrate DSs 44 Birthday. Our DGSs made it really special for their dad with balloon bashing, England baton fighting, ripping open of his presents, they ate Maltesers and were hyper, now chilling out for half an hour before we go into Brighton Marina for lunch and then games on the beach. Hope my energy lasts ?

Silver I have just come off steroids after 2 years, if you need any help in the way I weaned myself off please do ask. I too am trying to lose some of the steroid weight.

Have fun folks and take it easy Marydoll. I will be thinking of you Kitty at the BBQ ???.

It's sunny and warm in Nottingham. A day of housework, cleaning the car, then an evening spent watching a group play at the pub.

It's a glorious day here on the south coast and we are promised more of the same for the next week. Who needs to go abroad on holiday for sunshine when it's like this?

We found wasps taking up residence in the wood pile yesterday so need to do something about them as they are guarding the access to the front garden. Do they have any natural predators besides man?

Good morning Mick and all the early risers. As usual, the weather in Glasgow doesn't quite match that everywhere else. When I woke up, it was a bit dull, but the sun is beginning to peak through.

Floriatosca, you are a girl after my own heart. What a bargain! We are still eating last year's bramble jam, I sort of got carried away.

I'm really slow and stiff this morning after a day with DGD. She was like Jekll and Hyde all day. Where has our gentle little princess gone?
She found the bell my late mother used to summon us when she was bedbound. "When I ring the bell,run gran and papa!" Miracles, I don't do.

Good morning from Torquay! It looks like it’s going to be another hot sunny day. I am making strawberry jam today - managed to get 15 large punnets of perfect English strawberries (£5!) yesterday. Later on Inam “duty driver” ferrying husband and two sons to a local beer festival,- a late night for me then! Enjoy today whatever you are doing!

Weather "Down Under" rotten! Woke at sunrise (7.32am), but no sun.! Just grey, drizzle, 4C- 12C max if we're lucky.

Morning Mick, I'm going to buy Turmeric tabs as I'm reducing Steroids from 20mg now at 10mg and need a bit of a boost. Got to lose 3st of weight too because of steroids. Dry n warm here in South Lakes. Slainte.
