I've been half watching the Croatia - Argentina match. I am so pleased with the result.

I enjoyed the Iran v Spain game last night. So glad that Spain won The Iranians play a very “strange” game of football. Quite dirty players with acting skills worthy of an Oscar at times.

Football is not really my thing! I am not a sporty of very competitive person & I always support the underdog..

I was pleased Mexico won as I assumed ( probably wrongly) that it would annoy the dangerous tyrant Trump.

I watched a bit of the Poland v Senegal game after I picked the children up from school. My grandson predicted a 2-1 win to Senegal (based on how they sang their national anthem ) . I was sure Poland would win but there have been a few surprises already in this world cup so not counting our chickens against Panama yet.

Apparently 18 million watched the Engerland game and I was one of them. So much foul play- it should not be allowed. I will be watching BBC1 at lunchtime on Sunday- we should walk through Panama but who knows?

If you read the thread through phoenix you will see plenty other teams mentioned, it just so happens that tonight was EnGERlands opening game. Good result too !

My favourite game so far has been Spain v Portugal. Real edge of seat stuff .
