Annep. I can't say I do control it. I am starting again. Have bought a little booklet to keep a food diary.
Had a slice of cake at cafe Nero and a cappucino and a cheese scone. And have just had chocolate icecream.

Pleased with the gift box I made (first attempt) for DGS1's birthday present.

Been invited to lunch out tomorrow.

Looking after next-door's cat for 3 months while owner walks around Wales. Despite having only 3 legs, one eye and corneal graft just 2 weeks ago, cat is doing well. I am terrified that he will pop his clogs on my watch as we have no idea how old he is!

Cheerful happenings

Gazing on the foxgloves (which seeded themselves) standing so tall and proud in the garden against all the greenery. They bloomed while I was away and there are spikes of pink bells in clumps everywhere.

My car looking all shiny and new inside and out after a trip to the local garage car-washing/valeting service.

A pair of summer trousers I wore last year being slightly (only slightly) too big for me when I tried them on this morning!

My cough is beginning to clear up.

I bought two half price tops in a posh shop that is closing down.

I watched plenty of great tennis from Paris. ????

1. Visited DD and DGC this morning.
2. Came across a plant sale and bought 3 really really cheap planted up containers.
3. Enjoyed pottering in the garden in the blazing sun.

Just read this about your Salvia....
Salvia divinorum is a plant species with transient psychoactive properties when its leaves are consumed by chewing, smoking or as a tea. The leaves contain opioid-like compounds that induce hallucinations.

2 little tops. not 3.
and Loopyloo I too am trying to control blood sugar. It's very difficult when you've a sweet tooth and like chocolate. Today I had a (quite big)biscuit and two squares of Lindt 90% cocoa chocolate- a fifth of a bar that is. Too much. Didn't manage the walk as I've a headache. How do you manage- ( I digress). I've been told I risk being diabetic if I don't control.

DH’s PSA levels still as low as they can be.

Spent time sitting in the garden this evening with 2 dogs, a g&t, and then DH (once I got him out).

Going on last minute holiday in just over a week.

1. Sold out of cakes, raising £100 for First Responders
2. Enjoying evening watching tv with DH, knowing that at 9.00 we shall have a Curly Wurly each - 6 sins on SW
3 looking forward to seeing DS, DDiL and DS tomorrow.

1. Rain this morning but stayed dry for procession this afternoon.
2. Granddaughter won first prize and cup at fancy dress.
3. Just had strawberries, ice cream and cream, first of the season for me.

1. Changed some furniture round in the back 2 bedrooms, thus clearing out some "stuff" in the process.

2. Made a gorgeous trifle, then ate a huge portion of it.

3 Got a bottle of wine, which I'm now enjoying.

1. Got rid of my old sofa via freegle so now have room for the new one arriving next week
2. Spent far too much time at my window watching the swans and seven baby cygnets - adorable.
3. Found a forgotten bar of Dairy Milk in the door of the fridge - so obviously had to eat it.

SueDonim Sat 02-Jun-18 19:52:49

Well done, Loopyloo!

1. The gorgeous weather.
2. Watching loads of massive bumble bees bumbling about my garden.
3. Buying some yummy food for the weekend.

Today?
1. The rain kept off for our local 40s day.
2. My DGS's face when he leant against the knee of a "living statue" and she turned round and looked at him.
3. I'm about to have my first red wine of the week (then maybe my second and third...).

Well done loopylou on starting this thread - I just tried and put it into the Blogs forum by mistake!
My three things:
1. Put my new plants out into the beautiful sunshine.
2. Had lunch with my DD and DGD, then got an unexpected invite to have a drink with DS and family
3. Read a great article about the regreening of a dry valley in Positive News (a magazine I highly recommend to counteract the miserable news we always hear).

loopyloo Sat 02-Jun-18 19:35:14

Had a great time seeing my son.
Bought a Salvia at Waitrose.
Making a new start with my drive to control my blood sugars.
