More thunderstorms

The weather forecast for my area (a suburb in Nottingham) says thunderstorms at 4pm today... but it's glorious sunshine and really warm (24 degrees). I feel sorry for the poor people who have had floods.

Our late German Shepherd , Roma, would have cowered during these thunderstorms. Our son's cat is staying with us while they have builders in and she got out of her bed to sit on the windowsill to calmly watch the storm!

We had many roads closed for hours and peoples houses flooded including a block of sheltered housing flats sad near me in Kent too.
We have more forecast today.

We haven’t had any storms yet, just rain every day, today is cold, dull and misty, not the ‘the sun will burn the mist off soon’ kind of mist either, just the’ I’ll sit here all day, then I’ll rain on you’ kind of mist....
From not so sunny Oxfordshire.

Weather forecast predicts more of these over the next couple of days. Oh dear. Birmingham has only just recovered from the last bout. ?
