Flower Fairies books

I loved these books and still do. Two of my GDs are particularly interested; one is very 'in' to fairies and the other finds it an interesting way to describe flowers. Even when small I enjoyed the pictures and the accompanying poems. I found an anthology of the Flower Fairies in an Emporium and couldn't resist buying it.

Somehow I missed these books when I was little. I can’t think how. I had lots of books, but perhaps my mother didn’t know about these. I’d have loved them - well, I do now, so I haven’t missed out entirely.

I did have, and adored, The Lord of the Rushie River, which is by the same author/illustrator, Cicely Mary Barker. I’ve still got it.

Think we still have most of them,my daughter (35 now) loved them...can't part with them!

Very much so. My first was Flower Fairies of the Summer.
