How many can one forum deal with?

Besstwishes Sat 26-May-18 08:04:19

I’m sure we will soon find out

Luckygirl Sat 26-May-18 08:04:20

Maybe they could have a separate section of their own, so that conversations can proceed fluently; and the "active" page is not flooded with them.

The games seem to come to the top over night and fade away during the day.

sodapop Sat 26-May-18 08:21:07

This has been mentioned more than once but it seems they are annoyingly here to stay.

sodapop Sat 26-May-18 08:26:52

21 current games is a bit much.

Iam64 Sat 26-May-18 08:28:04

Yes, I’d like to see them moved into their own section to avoid the active page being so dominated. The games seem to have taken over

felice Sat 26-May-18 08:46:50

I just scrolled down and then had to go hunting for items I am interested in as they had been pushed off the page.
Definately too many games just now for me.

felice Sat 26-May-18 08:50:36

Had a look through them and they all seem to have been re-activated by one poster, some have been dormant for a while, Holiday weekend ??????

Nanabilly Sat 26-May-18 08:50:56

I can see that the games are well used especially in the evenings and through the night but I do wish they had their own section too for the same reasons as mentioned.

Belgravian Sat 26-May-18 10:30:48

That was me! Sorry I didn't know I had done wrong!

One of the dogs has to be let out for a wee in the early hours and I looked on my phone for a message from my shift working daughter and then had a browse on here and posted on some of the games as I was wide awake!

Oh dear, have I committed some dreadful faux pas? confused

Mapleleaf Sat 26-May-18 10:38:58

Not at all, Belgravia ?

Mapleleaf Sat 26-May-18 10:39:41

Sorry, Belgravian not * Belgravia*.

Luckygirl Sat 26-May-18 10:48:19

Not at all - but un oeuf is un oeuf!!!

MawBroon Sat 26-May-18 10:50:15

They seem to have dropped down the page again, but I agree there is a depressing degree of similarity, not to say monotony about them.

Belgravian Sat 26-May-18 12:33:34

It was good to have something to do whilst everyone was sleeping!

sodapop Sat 26-May-18 15:48:43

Yes don't worry Belgravian not your fault, you should be able to join the games if you wish. However as there are so many we have asked on several occasions if they could have their own section. It appears to be beyond the skills of the GN tech team to do this.

ninathenana Sat 26-May-18 16:31:54

smile when I opened the active page at 6am I thought I'd clicked games by mistake as the whole screen was Games.
Belgravian no need to appologise

mcem Sat 26-May-18 16:52:26

Go to the mobile site.
Open a games thread.
Find the downward-pointing arrow (top right)
The dropdown list will show 'Hide this discussion '
Click on it.
Repeat for each games thread you wish to avoid.
Hey Presto ! You have a games-free site!

ninathenana Sat 26-May-18 17:55:46

Oooh mcem thank you !

joannapiano Sat 26-May-18 19:10:12

I have just logged on for the first time today, and the games threads are just taking over, now.

mcem Sun 27-May-18 08:36:09

When I log in, I promise there isn't a game in sight!
Please follow the steps in my post above.

DanniRae Sun 27-May-18 09:16:30

Sorry to be dim but what is the 'mobile site'? I want to be free of games too. I used to love 'em but they just seem to go round and round - especially the a-z ones. Ta

ninathenana Sun 27-May-18 10:16:54

Danni scroll right to the bottom of the page and in small print it will read either mobile site or desktop site you maybe on the mobile site and not realise it.
Clicking on where it says this will change the format of the page. You can then follow mcem's unstructions
