Kacee Wash the trousers and use softener. Somebody told me to do this with a top that was clingy and it definitely worked for me.

If you don’t mind washing them before the Big Day, add a generous amount of fabric conditioner to the last rinse and don’t spin too much, better to drip dry if possible. Always works for me.

I should have said, the John Lewis aerosol spray is sprayed onto the garment! Not your body .....

I have a couple of pairs of crepe trousers that cling, so I shortened a coupleof pairs of silky pyjama trousers in navy and black to wear underneath. That works a treat. Checking out what's available on Amazon sounds like a good idea.

You can buy anti static spray from amazon, it works brilliantly

they are called pettipants and come in different lengths.i wear them under skirts as well.so comfortable

Do you need to wear tights or could you try shoe liner tights/sock things that hide under the shoe?

There are lots of videos about this on You Tube. Ideas include some that already been mentioned one here. These are the main ideas:

Make a solution with 1 cup of water to 2 tablespoons of fabric conditioner. Put in a spray bottle, shake then turn the garment inside out and spray it.

Rub a metal coat hanger over the garment.

Turn the garment inside out a rub it with a drier sheet.

Spray the garment with hair spray - this sounds a bit dangerous to me as it could make the garment flammable.

If you are unable to find anti-static trouser petticoats, you could try making your own using silk organza. I make my own trousers and always line them with silk organza. No cling and they hang so well. You can buy silk organza on Ebay in a variety of colours - but it must be pure silk, not an artificial silk. Use a simple elastic waisted pyjama pattern to wear them under your trousers, rather than trying to line a ready made garment. Silk is so light and cool that it won't feel bulky or hot. Hope this helps. BTW I love the sound of your outfit.

I've used the wire coat hanger trick but rubbed the trousers on it, not my legs

Lots of moisturiser on your legs will work.

Similar outfit to 'one' of my wedding outfits. I had the trousers made ( with a lining) as I had the same problem.
The reason I say 'one' is because I will wait to see what the weathers like.

I use either body lotion or hand cream on my legs, but if you are going to wear tights etc, then also put a small amount of hand cream/body lotion on your hands and wipe over the tights. This always works for me and it has never stained my clothes up to now.

I know its out of fashion now but I find talc on my legs stops the cling. Worth a try?

I have heard that liquid fabric softener rubbed between the hands and patted over the inside of the trousers stops static, but have never tried it.

I would think a lining of sorts would make the trousers hang better as well as not cling -lining always does that to curtains and skirts!

The metal coat hanger thing does work believe it or not. I was told this by my couture sewing teacher who works for top designers using delicate fabrics.

Moisturiser might stain however, do be careful

PS I think I would have a trial run before the big day, nothing worse than clingy trousers on a warm day.
