Love the doggie pictures, Hattie has definitely claimed those cushions, and Sam the pouffe.
I`ll be thinking of you tomorrow Ann, hope all goes well on your husband` s return.
Dawn came this afternoon, announcing that she`d come to sort out the glory hole, or, to give it it`s proper name, the cupboard under the stairs. I haven`t seen the back of that cupboard for years, she found a brand new kettle still in it`s wrapping, and an iron, not wrapped but looking new, I don`t remember buying either of them. She`s bullied me into throwing out bedding that she says I don`t need anymore, and has accused me, ME!!! of being a hoarder, as if. I just like to hang onto things in case they come in useful at some time, lol, anyway, it looks incredibly tidy in there now, there`s even half an empty shelf, where before I couldn`t even get in there because of the stuff stacked on the floor! So thank you Dawn.

Nice to know your DH would be welcome back at the care home ann. Sounds as though he got on ok. Hope all goes well with the homecoming although he may well be very confused.

Thoughts very much with you Ann 60 as you prepare for your H`s return home with great apprehension ...which is so very understandable,we can but hope that things might have improved just a tad.Although we well know we are probably dreaming.However try get a good sleep tonight,or is that too asking the impossible?

No "feed back" from either of our two viewing couples as yet,we have given up with the first lot,and although the pair on saturday were impressed, the fact the gent has had 2 heart attacks will surely determine our grounds are far too much like hard work.
However we have booked in yet another couple from Worcester, though that is on the 30th of this month........however it does give us some hope.............which tends to wane very easily!

Another biggie tomorrow,another Medical Appointment with an ongoing problem for almost 2 years,a nagging result of my first cancer..... and as you might well understand, I need not only answers but some relief from the troubling issues.

Great hearing your appetite is returning Charley......at least to some degree......and good luck with your physio,hope they go kindly.

So many new faces I have felt very much like ducking under cover and not intrude............but can`t break the habit..........yes its become that!!

Whilst of course it seems as if you could do with a break soop.......mind you if you stand still you`ll get swamped by that Burdock plant!!..........again loving your artistry.
Interestesting you are also a writer of poetry, for that is one of my side lines,but only when I am "in the mood" and those juices are flowing.

Littlest has been minding us today so there is much exhaustion here. We are lucky enough to have a re-run tomorrow. Wouldn’t miss it for the world but we are both oh so tired.

I've spent an entire afternoon part watching the tennis and part attempting to write a poem for a very special occasion. The subject based on WW1.

Care home visit tomorrow. Home late morning.

It's a very pleasant end of afternoon. MacSporran is mowing the grass. I'm off to make a pot of tea.

Afternoon all!

I was really tired by the time I got back from work and volunteering this morning so I went straight to bed for a nap. Crashed out and woke up an hour and forty minutes later. I thought I saw our car being driven up the lane and presumed MrBaggs had popped out for something.

When I mentioned this vision he said he hadn't been out since his early dentist appointment.
"I must have dreamt it", I said.
He said: "You need to dream about a better car than that!"

Our car's name is Slumdog.

N&G I am inclined to agree with Sam, floors are really only for dogs to sleep on- a handsome fellow like him should be well catered for especially as he has to rest his eyes so frequently.

Maw I am pleased that Hattie likes the cushions specially bought for her. She does look rather comfortable.

Ann please make the most of your last day of freedom. I wonder what H did differently there to endear the staff? I cannot see his nocturnal activities changing overnight and that is a problem for you because you need your sleep.

I had a slice of toast with marmalade for breakfast and I ate the gorgeous home grown strawberries for lunch which my friend another GN kindly brought yesterday. Nice also that she did not strip to show me her latest wound and neither did I because I wanted her to finish her coffee and not go running out of the door screaming.

I am dreading my first physio appointment tomorrow and it is for a whole hour. Keep your windows closed, you may hear my dulcet tones if you do not.

The sun is out here today but as always I have a blanket wrapped around me.

So pleased to hear that "my" dogs are being cared for properly.

Very brief visit for the moment. I've a pile of ironing and would like to watch tennis from Queens at 1pm. Yep, it's that time again. Lovely tennis. Bring it on.

That is encouraging Annsixty but we are not naive enough to believe it was anything more than a temporary respite.
Still, better than the alternative.
Would you contemplate a little more than the 2 days a week which you have in mind?
If you pay for it out of H’s money that is just a bit less for SS to get their hands on in the future, (Cynical, moi?)
On the basis that you will feel either guilty if H goes into more care or at the end of your tether, if you struggle on, I know which one I would recommend although I would have resisted it at the time.

I have just rung the care home to arrange " collection " tomorrow and was told H is a delightful man and they will be happy to have him for respite anytime. Phew!!

ann , I'll have you in mind tomorrow, hoping that your H will have benefited from his spell in respite. It's a pity that his nocturnal activities still continue as a good night's sleep would make the days easier for you.
It's a gloomy morning, only brightened by the arrival of a rather pretty new pair of Hotter shoes which, I have established, fit me well. I'm procrastinating and trying to ignore the waiting pile of ironing. Have I really worn all those garments in the past week?

Good morning all.
Quite chilly here today, my last full day before I fetch H home in the morning, I must try and make it a productive one.
I will have strawberries with my cereal please as I haven't had breakfast yet. I was late taking my pills and have to wait a while before I eat, no cream though Thank you, I am chunky enough.
All the babies and the dogs are lovely, I also have rug envy as mine have had to be put away as a falls hazard.
We have a large lounge and it looks so bare because the furniture has had to be moved to the sides ,also as a falls hazard.
I often say we are living in God's waiting room, sadly it also looks like one?

I thought about you Charley yesterday, when a neighbour came to see me .
After telling me how rested I looked, she took 15 minutes telling me how she understands my situation as her H does nothing to help in the house, he lies in bed until 8am and expects all his meals to appear by magic, watches tv for most of the day and has to be forced to do some gardening.
When I said but at least you can have a conversation, she said, oh we don't talk much.
She then crowned it all off by saying but R will probably be a lot better when he comes home!!
I choked back the words ,oh yes they will probably have cured him AND sorted out his sleep pattern and stopped the nocturnal wanderings.
Sometimes words just fail me.

I'm still loving the rug Maw but I'm afraid you've lost possession of your cushions !!Its like the pouffe ? pouf? footstool we bought- Sam has commandeered it because only dogs sleep on the floor !!

We have a long list of things today. Now getting to the big stores is a drive we try and group it all together. So its B & Q , Asda , The Range and M & S Food for us today but that does leave us an almost free week to potter in the garden or maybe take a trip out - I fancy going to Sheringham Park.

I hope you all have some little treat planned but if not I happen to have a ton of strawberries here with cream....help yourselves :-)

Morning all in the kitchen.............and thanks for giving me a real uplift on this start of a brand new week..........for me seeing dogs.......whatever the breed or whatever size or colour gets me going "ga ga!!!"

So whatever else happens today I am already on cloud seven thanks to your super doggie pictures,what stars.Certainly they know how to make themselves feel at home!!!

The rain has held off. It's less blowy than of late. All in all, a very pleasant day.
