Royal wedding obsession!

Give the lad a break! He is only 5 or 6 .

Prince George and Princess Charlotte are just like my grandchildren. Boy who seems to prefer to be out of the limelight, extrovert younger girl. My grandson is older than George, but looks very like him.

Ok ,my impressions from someone not a royalist.
The bride looked absolutely beautiful, but a divorced woman should not wear white and a veil.
The dress was a triumph, the bridesmaids and pages were hardly seen and whisked away to play or whatever.
The couple looked very very happy and in love, so nice to see.
Zara and Mike ? Also looked very happy together and also in love with each other.
The York girls didn't impress at all.
The Queen didn't crack a smile.
Meghans mother looked so alone, surely she could have had a "plus one".
Than goodness David Beckham was never knighted, those tattoos are hideous, has his wife had her expression frozen?
The weather was perfect and I sincerely wish the couple well, we shall see.
Haven't changed my mind that George is either sulky or very shy, unlike his sister who I'd going to be a real character.

I don't care if he said 1st or not.It did not distract from his passion or what he said.

Yes, so better if he had said ‘when you fall in love’ not ‘the first time you fall in love’

So what! There is always a first time to fall in love. I love my partner dearly, but I loved another before him, sadly things happen in life, and life moves on.

Many people fall in love more than once.

Rather unfortunate when the priest talked of ‘the first time you fall in love ‘ to a woman in her second wedding

Like the previous posters friends, I loved the sermon.
I liked it because it was different for a Royal Wedding.
My partner, a West Indian said lots of Carribean Churches have that kind if sermon.
He was passionate and I loved his energy.
The choir was also good, again different for this type of occasion. I think all in all one of the best Royal weddings I have seen.

I think it was her future son in law who escorted her into church then went to sit with Eugene.

I too thought Sarah looked great Muffin - quite sad to see her arriving all on her own. I wonder who the man was she greeted so warmly on her arrival at the church?
One little niggle I liked the Queen's lime (?) outfit apart from the purple 'addition' on her hat.

I agree, muffinthemoo. She must be back in favour (or at least not quite so far out of it!).

Maggie, I was also disappointed at the Yorks’ low key headgear. Thought Sarah looked great though!

I found it a lovely, personal service apart from the sermon, which imho went on a bit. Though some very devout friends of mine loved it and found it relevant and thought-provoking. The music was fab, the gospel choir a nice touch.

I was very disappointed by Beatrice and Eugenie’s restraint fashion-wise.

It’s nothing to do with any of us what religion the bride is or isn’t.

Sermon was brilliant and brought a bit of lightheartedness into the occasion, if I had had a preacher like him I might have enjoyed going to Church, I loved the Gospel Choir and the young cellist. I also enjoyed the procession through Windsor, pageantry at its best.
Plus it brought some tourists and their money into the U.K.

Well, I think it was wonderful, including the sermon and the gospel choir. A breath of fresh air. Meghan looked beautiful, and the dress was just the right length!

mumofmadboys then I was misinformed I was told she was a convert to the jewish faith,even a change of "denomination" is surely rediculous in the 21st century.I got married 43 years ago and my OH's father insisted if I took his name I would take his religion...both christian denominations.It didn't happen.I did bring our children up in his faith but I knew next to nothing about it and had no intention of learning.They were sent to Sunday school and church and a protestant school .It would have eben a step too far to expect me to join the C OF S.

seacliff I agree about the sermon. I found the mute button handy for that and the gospel choir. The chapel choir was excellent, though.

I thought it was all lovely part from that sermon. It went on way to long for me, so repetitive too. Five minutes is enough.

Windsor looked beautiful in the sunshine, as did Meghan.

It was quite a tear jerker when she walked in with the little ones behind. The twin boys did a good job with her veil. I do hope she is genuine and they will be happy together.

Duke of Edinburgh is nearly 97 and has recently had hip surgery. I think he looked amazing.

I barely saw Prince George, though Charlotte did her waving act well. I didn’t like the pageboys’ outfits. I think it’s horrible to see little boys in mini military uniforms.

Nice to see Windsor looking so fabulous in the sunshine.

Why did everyone laugh when Harry said “I will”?

I thought the Windsor women looked nice, Camilla, Kate,Sophie. Even Beatrice managed not to wear a ridiculous hat. Queenie was colourful.

My younger daughter who is quite deaf lip reads so that was useful ?

I am probably being unfair to Clare Waight Keller: this is a second marriage for the bride and something more understated is probably in order.

It could do to be about one to two inches shorter at the front.

I missed her arrival, but she does look so pretty and natural.
