I typed a post on this thread about an hour ago and included some emojis from my phone keypad, it wouldn't send, I'm wondering if they were the reason hmm I've used them before with no trouble.

I'm sure GN HQ will be glad of your help Rufus2 as for me I'll just battle on with the active thread and current emojis.
Good to have new posters joining us.

If I want to start a thread about anything (which would be rarely), I usually have a look to see if there is a recent-ish one on the same subject. If so I have been known to resurrect it. As for the emojis, I use either the Gransnet ones, or those that appear on my tablet keyboard. ???

However, some posters are clever enough to insert emojis they have found on the internet.
But I am not one of them so I have to make do with GN's own grin

I always just use “last day” to view posts on forums. Choose from list on top. Then I can just look at topics that interest me and I know are current. Though sometimes I realise it’s just one new post on an ancient thread.

I'm sure a lot of culling wouldn't go amiss grin
It is all there in the ether for ever Rufus

I suppose GNHQ would have to be involved grin I am sure they would appreciate your offer of help!

Ta-Ra, thanks for brightening the day

As a Newbie I've been trawling through most of the Forums to find out what life's all about.

Two aspects puzzle me. confused
I've learned to check the date of when a thread was first created. Most frustrating to create a state of the art post only to realize every one went home years ago.
Some go back years.
I'm sure a lot of culling wouldn't go amiss.

"Acronyms" need updating! Several times I've needed additional ones to express how I feel!
e.g. Weeping; Sobbing; Laughing with you; Laughing at you; You don't say?
I could go on, but I'd be surprised if others didn't have a few specials to throw in. smile
I suppose GNHQ would have to be involved, but I'd be happy to do the necessary if shown how.
Ta-Ra Good Health
