Bring your own picnic.

Sorry I worded the post wrong in saying the general public. It's the charity workers who have been invited they have been asked to bring there own picnic.
I believe it's 600 people.

Wonder if they will have rain hat & umberella vendors at the ready.

Wel, as far as I’m concerned they can stuff their “royal wedding” where the sun don’t shine. I for one won’t be celebrating it in any shape or form .

Massive food issues if they provide for onlookers. Hot day, diet issues etc etc etc, open door for complaints, no way could or should they do that

I meant for the charity workers etc, who have been specially invited which is what the wedding has been promoted as being for everyone.

If People wish to go along and watch , what’s wrong with taking their own sarnies?

I don’t see a problem with this, if you are on the wedding guest list you will be fed and watered, if not you will be an observer in London, and as such would eat out or take a picnic to have in the Park there.
You can’t expect them to put food on for thousands of tourists and gawpers?

It would be a bit difficult to provide a picnic for everyone though, don't you think Nanawind? It's difficult enough to cater for a wedding when you know the exact number of guests who will be turning up on the day! How on earth could picnics be prepared for potentially thousands of people who may, or may not, pitch up? And how would special dietary requirements be catered for? For those who want to go and watch the wedding, a picnic brought by the individual, would seem to be the only solution in making sure that everyone got what they wanted/needed to eat.
