Just wanted to say my knickers are bit tight. I must be moving towards that stone in weight I have been longing for . Arms still scrawny, bust still missing but I have a bum ?

NfkDumpling Thu 26-Apr-18 17:05:56

Wobblybits by any chance? hmm

Elegran Thu 26-Apr-18 17:51:06

Prose style and tone isn't WB's unless it is disguised.

gillybob Thu 26-Apr-18 18:11:32

Oh this is all getting very weird now . It doesn’t take much to confused me .

I really do smell a rodent .

NfkDumpling Thu 26-Apr-18 18:16:54

Franks Back!!!! grin

gillybob Thu 26-Apr-18 19:15:31

Aaaah happy days remembering dear old Frank . Thank you for giving me a giggle Nfk grin

I just love GN when it’s like this .

Jalima1108 Thu 26-Apr-18 19:51:03

Wobblybits by any chance?
No, unless he emigrated and didn't let us know

Jalima1108 Thu 26-Apr-18 19:52:13

I think we are all traversing in parallel universes

NfkDumpling Thu 26-Apr-18 21:35:24

Aha - I din’t notice Rufus lives in furren paarts.

Menopaws Fri 27-Apr-18 00:35:53

Annie good to hear you sounding brighter, if you need boobs I have spare you can have!

Anniebach Fri 27-Apr-18 08:42:34

Thank you Menopaws, I so need boobs again. I put so many here through so much moaning for months . So must get myself together ?

gillybob Fri 27-Apr-18 08:45:26

Everyone needs a moan now and again Annie and dear me you have had a lot on your plate, so quite justified I think.

I would love to have a bit more boob and bum and a bit less belly. I wonder if you can buy a garment to shove everything in the right places?

POGS Fri 27-Apr-18 09:33:47

Annie

I hope your good news is going hand in hand with feeling better in yourself.

We all wish that for you flowers

lemongrove Fri 27-Apr-18 09:35:16

We certainly do.?

Anniebach Fri 27-Apr-18 12:17:32

Thank you, acceptance takes time but it is the only way through x

Rufus2 Sun 29-Apr-18 05:37:56

Nick Dumpling;
Aha - I din’t notice Rufus lives in furren paarts.

Aha - You're wrong. I don't live in either Wales or Scotland. grin
And I'm not the Lizard of OZ, either!

As you may recall, that title was ascribed by the English press to an earlier OZ PM, when he actually touched our Queen. shock

I learned to spell when a primary schoolboy in Manchester.
Born within the sounds of Belle Vue Zoo, which probably explains a lot! blush

Go City!
Cheers

Annie, you didn't put us through anything. We are happy to offer support, as we do to any one else, and we never know when we might need it ourselves. I've had plenty of support here and no doubt will again.

As far as boobs and bums are concerned - mine need supporting by scaffolding!!

Anniebach Sun 29-Apr-18 09:13:07

kitty, not being dramatic, but I was in such a dark place if the posts of support hadn't been here for me to read through the nights and the days possibly the Paracetamol would have won, I did stock them up , ashamed to say .

Scaffolding ? I don't even need a bra , yet ?

NfkDumpling Sun 29-Apr-18 09:33:13

So relieved Annie that the dark place is receding. This is something I remember (not word perfect) from my days at work, written by someone who’d been in that dark place.

I walk down the street
There is a large black hole
I fall in
In time, I heave myself slowly out.

I walk down the street
There is a large black hole
I fall in
I climb out and carry on.

I walk down the street
There is a large black hole
I walk around it.

ninathenana Sun 29-Apr-18 09:43:09

Nfk did you write that ?
It's great.

Thanks Rufus until I read your 'culture' thread I had no idea how much this one had evolved.

ninathenana Sun 29-Apr-18 09:44:13

Oops I see you didn't.

MawBroon Sun 29-Apr-18 09:46:28

Rufus2, not living in “furrin parts? “
How come this then

Rufus2 Tue 24-Apr-18 07:03:58
As an English expatriate having lived in Melbourne for 47 years, I was thrilled to hear we have a new Prince, as yet un-named grin

So is this a case of “Welcome home?” hmm

TerriBull Sun 29-Apr-18 09:47:08

Annie it's been good to read that you are beginning to put on weight and that GN has been a lifeline to you in coping with your bereavement. I think some of the support offered on threads such as this one, is Gransnet at it's very best.

Best wishes and hope you continue to feel better flowers

MawBroon Sun 29-Apr-18 15:36:45

We seem to have silenced Rufus2 or was it my usual curse of killing a thread stone dead? confused

Jalima1108 Sun 29-Apr-18 16:36:45

Shhhh!

NfkDumpling Sun 29-Apr-18 20:47:10

No I didn’t write it Nina. It was by someone who’s got the t-shirt. It was published, but I don’t remember where. I thought it was moving and remembered it. Perhaps I shouldn’t have shared it? I didn’t think of copyright and stuff. Oops.
