He really should have a George in his name somewhere!

They will probably go with a traditional name, but wouldn't it be nice if they chose one that it at risk of disappearing? Boys I went to school with were Kenneth, Keith, Nigel or even Gary. Kenneth was a 9 the century Scottish king who united the Scots and the Picts, it's historical.

I wonder how they keep his name a secret from George and Charlotte who might blurt it out?

'Off you go to school now. Say goodbye to Thingy'

If Alfred the media will refer to Prince Fred

Granny23 Tue 24-Apr-18 10:19:36

Whenever I hear Albert I think of the senior Mr Steptoe.

I'd much prefer Robert (also one of our former King's Names) which can be shortened to Bertie, or Bert, Bob, Bobby, Rob, Robbie, Rab, Rabbie, etc.

Wallace married David

I don’t think it will be Bertie too many memories for the Queen on Wallace and Bertie.
Maybe another William?
I like Alfred shortened to Alfie, although it doesn’t sound very Royal, now I think about it.

Prince Edwards son is called James he is 11th in line,I also favour Albert shortened to Bertie.

Teetime Tue 24-Apr-18 10:03:00

Oh please not Arthur- James would be nice.

DanniRae Tue 24-Apr-18 07:18:51

I apologise to all the Arthurs out there but I really hope they don't call him that. I favour Albert - shortened to Bertie! smile

Any ideas on our new little Prince's name? I'm betting on Charles ... or maybe Phillip.
