I'm a bit at the outraged indignation at this thread. I just took the OPs post at face value and posted up thread. It never crossed my mind that there was any perversion and, to be honest, I'm more uncomfortable with accusations of sexual perversion being bandied about than I am in an old chap wondering what we store in our bras. Think we should tread carefully in making potentially litigious remarks.

My car key but only when I'm out. f I lose everything else, have my bad snatched etc. I can still get into my car!

Being the grown up women we mostly are, posters kept the thread on an even keel, even if that wasn’t the op’s intention , and it was funny and interesting to hear what we do actually stuff our bras with due to a lack of pockets! Simply ignoring any measure to make an ‘iffy’ post, and carrying on posting as usual is surely more adult and effective than some of the extreme moral indignation shown by a few.

Oh well, ‘improper’ seems to be the majority decision, but in comparison with all the pain, horror and anger in the world right now, I can’t say it’s rattled my cage very much.

Well we don’t know exactly what the OP is up to do we with his posts? Perhaps for him it is a form of perversion - who knows? If he didn’t do it, we wouldn't have to wonder would we? It’s simply not the place here and I see nothing ‘healthy’ about this sort of thread.

Sorry, to disagree with your assessment of my post, but I would maintain that I was not engaging in any righteous indignation, just pointing out how OTT your assertion was.

You just don’t get it do you maryeliza54, look back and you’ll see the majority of posts are about us keeping keys,tissues, phones etc in our bras, hardly the props of perversion!!

But being smutty is still not a perversion.

All right I withdraw the word pervert but I think engaging in sexualised banter on GN is a form of perversion. Come on - it’s not a thread about getting the right bra size is it? And yes too much of an interest in breasts can be a form of perversion - look at Toby Young’s tweets on the subject, they were stomach churning. Nice example of righteous indignation from you Elegran I rather thought saying Perverts Corner was witty given the existence of Pedants Corner.

Yep I acknowledge that my comments are OTT - I find in situations like this it gets across the message unambiguously. Too subtle and they wouldn’t get it - not that their behaviour will change but I do feel very strongly about sexual innuendo, ‘banter’ and smutty giggling - do it in the privacy of your own home but don’t bring it on to GN. It’s polluting quite frankly. I’m sure there’s plenty of unsavoury forums and web chats where people who want to engage in this sort of thing can really go to town

Opinions differ on whether this should have posted on GN, according to each person's view, quite reasonably. However I really don't think that it is reasonable to label an interest in female mammary glands as "perverted". I would have classed it as a normal mainstream male attitude to them. They are, after all, a secondary female sexual characteristic. A pervert is obsessed with some twisted view of sexuality, not a mainstream one.

If you don't like the question, or you think that this is not the place to ask it or the audience to ask it of, then fair enough that you should say so, but going into righteous indignation mode to accuse the poster of being a pervert is way out of line. He would be within his rights to report such responses to GNHQ as personal insults.

I thought this thread was innocuous to begin with and responded, but noted comments on the thread and then noticed another thread started by this OP, which was similar. Yet, when I posted it a comment to this effect on the other thread, I was really laid in to by other posters.

Context, as they say, is everything, but now I know the background of the OP and his history on GN, I do think this - and his other thread, currently running are unacceptable and with due respect maryeliza while I do think some of your remarks are a bit OTT, I am now firmly on your side of the argument

Sorry to hear that DanniRae. It’s not just this thread. He posted recently about his trials with Viagra and there have been others. I for one will be reporting any more from him that are of a similar type.

Neither my post nor I myself are ‘smutty’ so I have reported to Gransnet my dislike of your judgement of my character.

Ages ago I posted a jokey comment on a GransNet 'Olympics' thread and he came back with a very suggestive answer.
He disappeared for a long time and I hope he takes the hint and does the same again
