I agree with old Meg. I actually worked it out before I saw her post, but wether you believe me or not, I DID work it out myself. Its the numbers on the doors of the wards. - BIG COL

Must be an American hospital as don’t know any in UK with almost 2000 actual rooms.

Well done pensionpat smile

and all who subsequently agreed.
It was indeed the room number at the hospital.

Oops sorry kitty just noticed that you have already said this

Situpstraight Thu 05-Apr-18 11:12:59

1955 is the time of day 19.55

no year is mentioned

Bathsheba Thu 05-Apr-18 10:46:57

Must be the hospital room number, as others have said. Reminds me of the one about the girl who was born in March but celebrates her birthday every year in August. (Because she was born in March, Cambridgeshire wink)

I always like a challenge and I enjoy all the quiz shows and panel games but this has beaten me. My brain has exploded! Is there an answer to this or is it rheatorical or what? It'll be nice to get an answer one of these days. all I can say is, if anyone does get it, they're a better man than I am gunga din!

Situpstraight Thu 05-Apr-18 09:56:06

Because the day of the interview was in 1973?

Mapleleaf Thu 05-Apr-18 09:40:49

I’ve thought some more - similar to pensionpat. 1955 is the room in which he was born?

Maggiemaybe Thu 05-Apr-18 09:36:25

^ What pensionpat said, surely? confused

Mapleleaf Thu 05-Apr-18 09:31:46

Is it something to do with the different calendars - gregorian and Julian (I think)? Probably not - grasping at straws really but I’ve got in mind the different dates for Easter which are to do with the different calendars, so wondered if it was something similar. ???

kittylester Thu 05-Apr-18 09:29:18

Time of birth?

farview Thu 05-Apr-18 09:08:47

Heart transplant or similar?

ninathenana Thu 05-Apr-18 09:07:17

I will be back later with the answer, to give others a chance.

pensionpat Thu 05-Apr-18 09:00:27

The number of the house/apartment/hospital room in which he was born?

OldMeg Thu 05-Apr-18 08:59:14

No, can’t be if his birthday is TODAY.

OldMeg Thu 05-Apr-18 08:58:40

29th February birthday?

ninathenana Thu 05-Apr-18 08:57:24

This was on our local radio this morning.
A man was born in 1955 but today is his 18th birthday, how is this
possible ?
