Gorgeous baby photos soop and callgirl. Little Teddy is showing a lot of character now.
Thank you for your kindly comments. I've much to do before we depart for Rutland. The house must be spotless. Ironing up to date. Blah blah...it's a woman thing. I am excited. And, for the first time since Rory became a member of our family, I do not dread leaving him in the capable hands of good neighbours. Yet...we both wish that he was still here. He was our treasure. We miss him terribly.
soop I'm excited for you, is it this Friday or next that you go? All those wonderful baby cuddles that you will have, I'm positively
callgirl Congratulations on your lovely baby
well, you know what I mean, not yours!
soop how likely is it that one of Rory's relatives may walk in one day?
You must be so excited to be meeting all of the family again and cuddling that darling little boy, Teddy. It may be noticed if you slip him in a carrier.
Soop, here`s hoping that you and MacSporran have a wonderful time over the weekend, I hope that Leicestershire is well prepared. Best wishes and hugs to Miela and Teddy.
There`s a photo been posted on Facebook of me holding baby Max, but I wish it hadn`t been, the camera was way too honest, makes me look like an old hag, and I`ve been kidding myself all this time that I didn`t look bad for my age, lol!
Have a wonderful break, soop, baby-worshipping and lots of cuddles, not forgetting young Mr Torben. I'm sure he doesn't mind a wee cuddle with Nana. I'm off up north tomorrow by air to Edinburgh where my sister will pick me up and take me to Dundee. She has a lot of things lined up for me which is just as well as the forecast is dreich.
Awww! I do love you lot. Thank you for not showing signs of boredom when I bang on about babies and such. First thing Friday morning we're off on the 7:00 bus. Eventually arrive in Oakham at 5:40pm. A long day but well worth the effort. Saturday will be the non-stop blether day. Photos taken and the giving of the watercolour paintings. Two bottles of Champagne going with us. I'm all of a dither.
Lona The last gathering was way back in September. MacSporran stayed behind on that occasion. Rory was dying. We talk about him every single day.
anno I've not been to Dundee. I hope that your visit will be a proper treat. Safe travels.
Charleyg In a way, I hope that there will be no more cats visiting us. We couldn't bear the pain of losing another animal.
callgirl1 You are NOT an old hag. You have beautiful features and cheekbones to die for. So there!
I shall be with you tomorrow. After which, it pains me to say that I will not be online again until Tuesday. I do not have a smart phone/tablet/or any other gizmo. The computer will take a wee rest.
It's a glorious afternoon. I hope that some of you are enjoying similar weather.
Okey dokey...I hope to return in the morning. Please take care of yourselves.

The sun has been out here for most of the day but there has been a sharp wind.
soop I know how you mean about another cat. I dread the day when Tara and I part company. I hope you both have a safe journey and please relax- give 50 million cuddles to the two babies and do not forget Torben who will be a young man soon. The time unfortunately will flash by.
Soop please give us a wave as you go through Leicester! Enjoy your weekend!
Just popping in to say hello. We had a seaside weekend away at our son’s where thankfully our eldest gd (almost 16) was on much better form which made it a happier visit. They’re not out of the woods with that lass, by a long way yet, but things do seem a bit easier, I’m so relieved for them. Last time we were were there I felt the stress of it all may have been pulling them apart a bit. The weather was bright, sunny and warm all weekend so we had a couple of outings to enjoy. A good walk by the coast and a visit to a favourite NT place too. I’ll attach a couple of photos. We did return home a touch poorer though as my phone conked out a day or so before we went. After a consultation with a nice man in the Apple store it became apparent this was not a fixable problem, a new phone was the only way to go - ouch but it had to be done.
I have to admit to a bit of baby envy when seeing the photos of the newbies.....sigh, I think we may have no more littlies coming our way.
soop, wishing you easy journeys to your family get together - won’t it be lovely to be all together and I’m sure your hand painted gifts will be greatly appreciated.
Ann I hope you’re surviving the extra demands that are now upon you and some support has been put in place now. You’ve be in my thoughts a lot these past few days.
Poor grampy is he still lying down after the eye drop expense? Your new home does look rather pristine n&g as maw suggested that could all change very quickly
Wishing you all a pleasant and relaxed evening xx
gorgeous pic , both of you
callgirl1 I sometimes see my mother looking back at me when I look in the mirror. Lovely photo of you with your little one. What a head of hair, beautiful ?
callgirl you look lovely, you have a sweet, kind face and so did your mother.
soop, have a sooper dooper trip! Xxx
callgirl lovely photos of yourself and your mother with not a wrinkle between you and young Max is adorable. Are you sure you are not keeping him? He has a superb head of hair.
Ann I do hope that you are coping.
corner it would take the whole of May to re-organise my paperwork and I know that May is fairly free for you. Your DH can look after the GC, wash windows, mow the lawn and wash the car- all the things one expects a man to do and you could stay here with Tara and myself sorting out the massive amount of paper work. You could sunbathe as the weather is sunny although a tad cold.
Morning all !!
Whew I don't know how so much can happen in the kitchen when I'm away for a little bit.
I love that cartoon Maw , Ive used it more than once myself. Our house usually isn't quite so tidy but we are getting to be dab hands at packing things up ( and then taking forever to unpack them again!!)
Sam is looking ( and feeling) much better Charleygirl , we had to do 4 days of drops and then if it was all clear, 2 more days .So by the end of the weekend he should be all back to normal.
Time is flying soop , Teddy looks like he has been here forever- it must only be days till you get a cuddle from him !!
Max has so much hair Callgirl !! I do like a baby with hair, they look 'finished' :-). Pop your photo over to me Callgirl Ive discovered filters!!!!
I can make you look 21 ( ish)
Lovely photos Grannie , glad to hear your 16 yr old is getting there. I remember one of my daughters being the child from hell in those years - and now she is as lovely as the day is long.
Ah Ive just seen your picture Callgirl . I think its rather lovely. You have a very proud look on your face x
I am up to date with my crafting pretty much so I shall be doing things I want to today . I have an evening apt for an ultrasound for my recalcitrant kidneys so think we will pop into the city early and do a bit of retail therapy and have a spot to eat before that ! Last time I had an ultrasound I was expecting..... now finding that this evening would be a surprise !!!
Ill leave you with a couple of t-shirts I made yesterday for Cooper - my naughty boy
I hope that Sam is getting better. He looks so much slimmer having had his winter coat shorn. I would love to move your house here! It does look like a new build- the builders did a fabulous job.
Good morning to you lovely lot. How come you've been so busy? Keeping up with the latest happenings is an impissibolity. Eeek! A new word that sprung from my fertile brain-box.
I like the latest batch of photographs. Beautiful persons (cheek bones to die for) and views and glorious flowers (courtesy of grannieq) and special garments (fab t-shirts). Talk about gifted...you lot are that with bells on.
N&G I trust that the ultrasound result is favourable.
Now, I'm not too sure what to do first. I'm surrounded by stuff that I might need but won't (when I get where we're going). Do any of you know that feeling? I'm betting that a few of you are nodding in agreement. MacSporran tells me that it's a "woman thing". He has produced a very neat overnight bag for his bits and bobs. I've a trolley with wheels on.
Back later.
soop I laughed when you said that you had a trolley with wheels on and Mac Sporran had a little overnight bag. The last time I packed a bag was when I was admitted for elective surgery 5 years ago and like you I had a huge case on wheels and one would think I was staying in for a couple of months or longer.
Charleyg
We are expecting friends of ours to arrive mid-afternoon. They have agreed to house-sit. Makes a wee welcome break for them but they'll be sad that Rory isn't in residence.
Have a great time soop - yes, it would be a wheelie case for me and also one for Mr C - for the things I couldn't fit into mine you understand
Sorry, can't catch up properly. Been sorting income tax, my head hurst. Lunch, boring medical stuff then Grannie detail. At least not boring.
Just popped in to say hope you and MacS have a good journey, Soop, to see the little one. Lots of photos I hope!
callgirl Max reminds me of DD when she was born. The doctor who delivered her said we should send out for a hairdresser - he’d never seen so much hair on a baby’s head! I like to think it’s a sign of intelligence
! I probably didn’t have much hair when I was born.
Am I the only one who is really fed up with this weather, and the fact that the forecasters seem to be making it up on the hoof?? It is freezing, wet and windy here. My garden is crying out for attention and is getting it in five minute bursts! We have to get GS to a junior football match this evening - I think I need to dig out some winter jackets. I’ve only just put them away!
Good luck with the ultrasound, N&G. Certainly hope there are no unexpected surprises - of any kind ?!
I had better get ready to drive over and pick the boy up from school. He is coming here for his tea this evening before we go out. Apologies to anyone whose posts I have missed this time. I wish you all a lovely - preferably dry -afternoon!
soop I know you cleaned the house recently but with friends staying there at least it may get hoovered if you are lucky!
