Karma!

Some of you may remember I had problems at the beginning of the year with a neighbour's visitor parking overnight on my drive blocking me in and then the neighbour complaining I was being unreasonable because I made a fuss when it still wasn't moved 20 minutes after being asked.

Apparently this neighbour is having work done on her house and the workmen need to park on her drive. She has been doing the rounds of the houses in the road asking if she can park her car on their drives (she hasn't asked me!). They have all turned her down, citing her unreasonable behaviour towards me. Apparently she is having to park on a friends drive which is at least half a mile away and then walk! Am I wicked for hoping we get a lot of rain!!!

Well, perhaps wishing for lots of rain is overdoing it ?, it will rain on you too X

Karma indeed! Even better when you get to hear about it or witness it! wink

Revenge is sweet, even if you didn't cause it.

Why not knock on her door and offer to let her park on your drive and start over with the relationship. You may be neighbours for a very long time, so much nicer if you are on good terms.

Oldwoman70 Thu 22-Mar-18 14:54:55

starbird I am planning to move in the next few months so whether we are on good terms or not isn't important.

What goes round, comes round. I have always believed that.

Auntieflo Thu 22-Mar-18 15:11:14

BBbevan, you have just posted exactly what I was going to write.

gillybob Thu 22-Mar-18 15:16:40

grin

I love it oldwoman70 and agree with BBbevan !

Lets hope the builders take their time too !

I can't believe in karma because of all the bad things that have happened to me. I cannot have been so bad surely?

humptydumpty Thu 22-Mar-18 15:30:04

Old womn beware! - if you are selling your house you're expected to reveal any disputes with neighbours... maybe a resolution would be a good idea as starbird suggested.

gillybob Thu 22-Mar-18 15:36:12

I don't think this would be classed as a neighbourly dispute though. oldwoman asked for the car blocking her drive to be moved. End of.

merlotgran Thu 22-Mar-18 15:37:01

Allowing her to park on your drive would be snubbing the neighbours who have backed you up.

Let her walk!

Moocow Thu 22-Mar-18 17:18:57

merlotgran I didn't think of that, you are quite right, so oldwoman70 you have a second reason to sit back and feel happy about the times you struggled with your disagreeable neighbour. Hopefully that will teach her!

Moocow Thu 22-Mar-18 17:19:57

I mean times you had no choice but to struggle with the upset, now it's her turn big time!

bikergran Thu 22-Mar-18 17:24:51

oldwoman no no your certainly not awful for wanting it to rain.... wind/snow/hailstorm yes lol but not a bit of rain... ;)

Agree with others: what goes around comes around. Karma caught up with her smile. And as for offering her your drive? - no chance!
