New username

I am trying to come up with a new username. Is there a directory or some way to find out if a name is in use, also,
anyone know how I go about doing so. Do I have to sign up as a new user?. I rather like 'youknowwhat' (thanks Bridget for suggestion).

I didn't think it was that easy to just change your name on a whim. Perhaps you should ask HQ?

It's easy, just e-mail GN and tell them you want to change. Details on the desk top site.
