Goodness Kitty are we related?? ?
I am very accident prone. As a child I had muscle problems & would trip over a feather apparently! I spend alot of time in the kitchen and can often be seen sporting a plaster.
The worst thing I did was a teen , trying to separate frozen sausages with a meat fork. It slipped and embedded down the side of my thumb nail to the knuckle! Sore doesn't describe it ?.
I will not be buying a mandolin (of any description ?) for all the reasons laid pud in the horror stories above. Good luck.... I hope your fingers recover very soon ⚘
Good Morning Monday 10th August 2026
Someone needs to go back to Junior School himself.
Unbearable grief compounded by our adult children’s reactions

. DH had a mandolin in the kitchen which I refused to use, knives yes, the right one for the job, chefs learn the correct way to cut/chop using knives.
for you, hope it's all better soon.
