I’ll see how it settles down as ophthalmology at our only hospital has a very lengthy waiting list. I have return visits to both doc and optician in two weeks so will see what they’re saying then.

It happened to me once but I went to the Eye Hospital. It was a burst blood vessel and cleared up but they do investigate more thoroughly than an optician can. However, if your GP is happy then it should be fine.

Ended up seeing doc and optician. All my pressures including bp and eye are fine. but I have very dry eyes which apparently can cause this. Now on GelTears for the foreseeable but feel like wearing sunglasses when I go out so as not to frighten the horses!

It happened to me once and the GP suggested that I'd rubbed an allergen into it, so gave me anti-histamine drops which worked well. Yes, go and see your GP.

Go to your GP. A friend of mine had that happen and it was due to high blood pressure.

DH had that once, the doc gave him a prescription after a telephone consultation.

Doctors for that one I think. Good luck with it. DH used to do it all the time - better now he wears photocromatic specs.

I have a burst blood vessel in my right eye which has turned a large amount of the white into red. Looks absolutely horrific - as if I’ve gone several rounds with Mike Tyson. Off to try and get optician’s appointment as it’s quite uncomfortable, or should it be docs? Just want some soothing drops or similar. Not best start to my day.
