I get where your coming from but I doubt this about a dressing gown belt MissAdventure if you’ve been having a hard time and it’s often the smallest thing that breaks the camels back so to speak. Any belt will do until this one turns up, a scarf, a pin or tie. or and from me to you. Don’t be hard on yourself

Knit a new belt then you have a story... remember when you lost your belt... then he will treasure it. Perhaps in his fave colours, add a few bits of different wool to make it unique. A fun thing out of an annoying thing.
