No, but I go onto GN while also watching TV in the evening.

I'm on Gransnet on and off during the day. I'm often listening to music, or the TV is on in the background. Tonight DGS age 9 is visiting so the TV is tuned to Cbeebies as he doesn't get to see it at home.

Music, or the radio on in the background or tv ( I can multi task!)?
Sometimes even DH chatting as well.At the moment all I can hear is owls, either one very noisy one or a lot of different ones all piping up in the trees in the churchyard opposite me.?????

How lovely Lemongrove owls have such an eerie hoot.

We have radios in each room and Alexa in three rooms. I can’t bear to sit or work in silence. I know it is pathetic but I start to worry in silence. I would be hopeless on a retreat.

Recently I have been listening to short stories on the BBC IPlayer and have really enjoyed these, especially whilst preparing food.

I never listen to music whilst on the computer and I never listen to the radio, I doubt I could actually locate a programme/station or whatever you call them.

I always have the radio on during the day but no music, I prefer to hear people talking so have 5 live on. It goes on once OH has finished watching news on tv in the morning and stays on until he puts the telly back on to watch repeats of antique/quiz shows (why?) although as he can't be bothered to walk out and turn the radio off it often plays at the same time for a while. And if I'm in the kitchen I still leave it on while I'm working out there and he's sat on his backside watching telly lol.

I don’t put the radio on very often - I quite enjoy the silence. I used to run Classic FM on the iPad in the background to whatever I was looking at but it really annoys me these days.

I use my tv's to listen to radio. Have a tv in each room and know the Fequency for Radio 4 for each of them. However, in my craft room/study where I keep my laptop I also have an very elderly (rather like me), 14" old fashioned tv on the desk next to the laptop. This works thru a set top box and as I usually come into this forum in the morning I usually simultaneously have The Wright Stuff on.

I listen to the radio through my phone,so it doesn’t matter which room I’m in when I’m on GN. I keep my phone in my pocket, though learnt the hard way to remove it when going to the loo(too much information?!)

Yes Classic FM or Midnight Café radio (an internet station) lovely and smooth, no adverts or talking at all!!!

Thank you Teetime for the tip about Midnight Café Radio - I'd never heard of it but now "Alexa" is playing it for me. So far so very enjoyable!
