I spent ages looking in that bit massimo but all my Sainsbury's had was truffle oil and truffle salt

The store I use has reduced its range a fair amount.

kitty the best thing to do is to borrow a pig, put it on a lead and take it for a walk in a nice damp wood.
The pig will hunt out the truffles for you

Easy peasy grin

Sainsburys usually does have truffles - tiny ones - they’re in the little section where you can get Japanese ingredients and preserved lemons and other unusual bits and bobs.

Hahahaha. Good one.

Well chocolate chilli is a thing, so why not chocolate chicken? Though it does sound the sort of thing Olive from On the Buses would do. Who remembers Stan being advised by his GP to have his fish poached, not fried, and he came home to find Olive poaching his fish fingers? grin

We only have a small Waitrose near us so I think I will need to do a tour of the local delis. Otherwise we are watching DGS2 play football on Sunday and will pass a big Waitrose on the way home.

Not sure oil will work!

Sainsburys hmmm perhaps try a Waitrose or use truffle flavoured olive oil.

Oh, go on, give it a try! What with all the cavorting and romping going on on GN, chocolate and chicken sounds quite mild!

I recently found a recipe for chicken legs with very thinly sliced truffles inserted between the skin and the flesh and then roasted on potatoes which were mixed with cream and parmesan. Thought they would be nice for DH and I on Sunday.

On my normal Sainsbury's shop I asked if they sold truffles as I couldn't find them. The nice young man rang somebody to establish whether they did and where they might be. Finishing his phone call he offered to take me to them. I trotted obediently along behind him to find myself in the chocolate aisle. grin
