In the photos of her in Edinburgh, she looks destroyed. Dreadful clumpy hair in no discernable style which she keeps having to push off her face...and those trousers. Sweeping the street as she walks and wet all around the hems. She's a nobody with an iffy family background. Kate is on another level altogether.

I'm not a monarchist in any shape or form but to be personally hypercritical of anything this young woman does, whose only crime is to be engaged to a minor(ish) royal, and it appears to be a genuine love match -unlike many other betrothals in that family, appears to be unpleasant vitriol. Give her a break. She doesn't need "publicity stunts", the press are going to report her every move whatever she does.

I was no Diana fan and her manipulation of the public and the press nearly brought down the Windsors, I am not a royalist but the attacks on poor queenie brought about by Diana was vile . I see no need for hugs and I feel your pain, this I respect about queenie, she does her job, no huggy,kissy , Anne is the same. Time will tell if Megan is genuine or not, just wish she would tie her hair back and stop wearing black. I am no fan of Harry either, playing to the camera is a lesson he learnt well.

She is not a royal. Only people who are descendants of the king or queen are royal because of their blood line. She just happens to be engaged to a royal.

Florence you have absolutely no idea what she or any other member of the RF contribute to any good cause so why presume that all they give is a few hollow words?

Radicalnan You are making a political point which should not involve personal attack on individuals. Whether our country has a monarchy or not or how the monarchy is sustained and in what position it is held is a political matter. It does you no favours to individually attack members of the current Royal Family or make presumptions about them and what they think. If they openly behave badly they may be judged for that behaviour. Similarly, acts of kindness and decent deeds should be accepted as just that. I believe that being born into the royal family is one of the hardest things to happen to anyone. I would hate it.
