Just after we moved to our new house we saw a fox jump over the back fence. He/ she walked slowly down the garden, around the side of the house., drank from one pond, walked across to the other and drank from that then out through the front gate and up the road. No rush, and it was broad daylight. We have not seen him again though , sadly

I also back onto farmland. The only deer I have seen recently are the Muntjac who slowly wander around my garden nibbling a bit of this and a bit of that. I feel their need is greater than mine so don't shoo them away. I am surprised they haven't touched the new broad bean growth though. Very generous of them!

There is often a pair of red kites in the large ash tree just beyond my fence. I am so hoping they will nest, which would be wonderful.

Oh how lovely it must be to have that sort of view from you window! Such a simple pleasure to be able to watch a wild animal enjoying life in its natural habitat.

That must have been lovely! I love moments like that. OH came across a trio of deer in our churchyard one very crisp and frosty morning recently. They stood watching him while,he continued with his walk but they weren’t skipping or jumping about.

My house looks out over a field and wood - this afternoon I saw a deer running round and round the field and leaping in the air - seemed to be full of the joys of life. Made me feel happy just watching!!
