Cold toast for me too please.

I love cold toast too. I think it stems from when the children were small and so I was always the last one to eat!

I love toast that is almost cold as well. The butter sits on top instead of melting into it.

DH is actually quite good at it but I haven't told him yet.

I love cold toast with lots of butter, sorry all those doing frugal Feb.

Absolutely an art to toast making. First of all it should be golden in colour. Then left to cool slightly. Just enough to let the butter start to melt but not completely melt. Also it has to be real butter on toast.

I am extremely guilty good at scurrying if I have been watching telly all afternoon and I hear husband at the door. Why I don't know.

What drives him mad about me, is when there isn't any room on my bedside table (due to piles of books, pillow spray, alarm clock, Kindle, phone, sometimes cough lozenges, box of tissues, I could go on) for him to put my cup of tea and toast down in the morning! - and then I moan if he hasn't left the toast for "just so" long before spreading it. There's an art to making toast, don'tcha know, who wants soggy toast?!

I keep saying for hours that I'm going to do something, like put the tea on, make the bed etc. Then the persnickety fussy OH will do it, and moan at me, and I'll indignantly say I was just going to do it. But in my Scots accent it comes out as
"I wis gonny do that!" Then husband will call me the Great White Chief of the Wisgonny tribe... bugs me to hell every time LOL!

Oh and hearing his key in the door usually--wakes me up-- jolts me into suddenly being very busy.

I'm very good at getting so engrossed in something that I simply can't tear myself away to wash up.

I also lock the front door when I get in from work knowing that DH will have to fumble for his keys in the dark before he gets in.
