A little thing

DS, DIL and two youngest grandchildren visited this afternoon - DIL said "we asked (DGD aged 2.5) shall we go and see nana and granddad", DGD replied "yes, I'm so happy" - how sweet is that

I should have done it earlier, I know, but better late than never!

I planted a large pot with red cyclamen last autumn and they have flowered throughout the winter; I love a splash of red in the garden. Will put them in the border when they stop flowering and do the same next year.

Sunshine Luckygirl? I think the clouds must have just been over our way, it was miserable out there all day today.

However, I emptied my rather sad looking pots the other day and planted some bright and cheerful primroses and cyclamen

We’ve been to our local panto with one of the DGS. It was lovely to see so many children enjoying themselves so much.

My GD came round for a couple of hours to play without her mum. She is four and a half and spent every Wednesday with me from 10 weeks old until she started school last September. I would then collect her from school on Wednesdays and bring her home for tea.
I had a brain haemorrhage in October and this is the first proper play time since.
My kitchen is awash with paint and glitter and she is presently washing the paint pots in the sink and singing!
What a fantastic day this is to be above ground!! x

I did some gardening today in the sunshine - birdsong very loud indeed - or is it just the hearing aids?!

The little girls next door had their patio doors open and were playing in the garden.It was lovely to hear their little voices again.

Same here - mild spring sunshine and things poking their heads through the soil! I was almost tempted to go out and do some gardening - almost! ?

Just went to local market in dripping rain but bought lovely cheeses and breads from cheerful happy people. Came home feeling great (and we have a lovely supper to look forward to!)
