Have you ever enjoyed prawns from the crystal clear waters of Loch Fyne in Scotland ?
If so, the likelihood is that they will be among ones caught from a boat called 'The Nancy Glen' which fishes out of Tarbert on the West Coast. I lived there for several years and it was with great sadness that I heard the boat had capsized and sunk, one man got off but two men are feared trapped on the boat, this happened on the 18th January, and still the boat is at the bottom of the water. The men leave wives and young families behind. As I know the people affected it has been a great shock, but just wanted to say, that the little community has banded together and set out on a fund raising campaign to raise the boat so that the families can get their men back and have some closure.
It's such a sad time for everyone concerned, the rest of the fleet go out every day and keep watch where the boat went down, but I just wanted to say that the community spirit is amazing, and if you want something to uplift you today, just look at the messages of hope people have left on their donations page.
I don't know if I will be allowed to put a link to their campaign here(Gransnet please remove if not appropriate) but if you felt you could donate , no matter how little, it would help to get the boat raised, if not, please just read and say a little prayer for all involved.
Thank you .
