Thank you so much MissAdventure, Christinefrance, bella2, Iam64 and of course dear watermeadow who started this thread...your comforting words and kind thoughts mean so much. As I am alone here I can cry without holding back...it's so exhausting though. I do a little voluntary work on a Friday afternoon so I shall go there this afternoon for a couple of hours, at least it will be a small distraction, keeping busy, till I get home, anyway. This really has knocked me sideways and I thought that, given Larry's age, I had prepared myself, if only a little, over recent months...but I clearly hadn't. My daughter had a wonderful pet portrait of him made, from a very recent photograph, as a Christmas present last year. I have that to treasure, plus a little bit of his hair, till his ashes are returned. Stupidly I have kept his teddy on his bed in the vain hope that somehow I shall find it all messed up, as was his habit, however of course, it remains untouched. Thank you again for your comments my friends...and to those of us who find ourselves sailing in the same boat, hugs and deepest heartfelt sympathy.
