Does anyone have an opinion on these clothes? Anyone actually seen them? Should I hot foot it to my nearest large store?

Dh told me about them saying 'they are for 18 to 32'. Naturally, I told him young people dont shop in M&S!! blush

I've looked through the entire Curve range. It's awful. There's only about three items I'd take into the changing room. I agree with pp that special event dressed are particularly ghastly.

I've just skimmed the whole page of Curve clothing and overall I thought the styles, fabrics and fashions were just really dated. I put on weight recently and so have just bought new clothes in a size 18 and the fabrics, patterns and styles I chose are considerably more modern than anything I've just seen on the M&S page - and I'm not noted for my trendy style. I have a gorgeous Luca Vanucci dress (flatters my shape), a blue patterned Mistral tunic in a lovely fine cordurouy fabric and a Nomad tunic in unusual colours and again a fine cord fabric - all bought in the sales with huge reductions and all very flattering styles.

The special occasion dresses were just as bad Jalima. Shapeless, garish patterns, baggy sleeves and dragged in at the back. I've seen better on a market stall! grin

Jalima1108 Wed 24-Jan-18 23:14:46

The model is lovely but it does her no favours so I doubt there would be much hope for the rest of us if we wore it.

Chewbacca Wed 24-Jan-18 20:45:09

That trench coat wouldn't do anyone any favours, no matter what their age or size. It's just badly designed and an ugly colour. Are M&S completely losing the plot?

Jalima1108 Wed 24-Jan-18 19:52:05

A trench coat with no sleeves
confused

NanaandGrampy Wed 24-Jan-18 19:49:32

The trench coat was specacularly hideous !

I think the colours are unappealing and the styles aren’t attractive either .

It’s a huge thumbs down from me M & S which is a shame because plus size shops are few and far between .

Jalima1108 Wed 24-Jan-18 19:36:12

There's a long cotton t shirt that looks OK (I like them a bit on the big side).
And the black or navy midi dress (depending on fabric) although the waist looks in an odd place, probably too big for me although I don't like things tight.
But perhaps those two items look OK because the model is young and attractive and she is shapely

MissAdventure Wed 24-Jan-18 16:43:50

I quite like it. Not that I'd wear it myself, but its preferable to all the frills.

MargaretX Wed 24-Jan-18 16:40:19

I am appalled. Who in their right mind would buy such a dress/ overall in that colour and tied in the middle. Its a joke.

grannyqueenie Wed 24-Jan-18 16:18:44

Just when I thought M&S couldn’t possible get any worse.....!

humptydumpty Wed 24-Jan-18 14:37:10

In fairness, having skimmed the page of Curve desings, most of them look OK and to me the trench coat is far and away the most awaful!

jamsidedown Wed 24-Jan-18 14:19:47

I agree the model was great, but can’t get my head round that weird dowdy sleeveless garment- what are they thinking? Another M&S muck up.

Atqui Wed 24-Jan-18 14:13:31

I didn't like the clothes , but in defence of M and S they have used a curvy model. Some of the 'plus size' models are very tall and often pear shaped rather than apple or top heavy . Speaking from personal, experience ,it is more difficult to disguise weight if you have a large bust as everything hangs from it, rather than small boobs and big hip / legs which can be hidden under skirts, so I applaud M and S for their realistic choice of model.

silverlining48 Wed 24-Jan-18 13:40:29

What can possibly be the point of a sleeveless mac?

Alexa Wed 24-Jan-18 12:57:11

The pretty young model is both fat and curvy and has splendid leg muscles. All the clothes are suited to a young shape but the styles are too dowdy for the young woman.

Charleygirl Wed 24-Jan-18 12:50:43

OMG that is hideous and who wears a coat without sleeves or am I "out of it"? The colour is awful and I agree, it looks like an overall.

Auntieflo Wed 24-Jan-18 12:45:06

Trisher, I just looked at the link. It says it's it's a trench coat??? looks like an overall to me! Horrible.

kittylester Wed 24-Jan-18 12:28:26

Ok, I won;t rush to look. Though I did see a nice looking grey top and the jeans are all highrise.

humptydumpty Wed 24-Jan-18 12:28:21

OMG that is hideous!

trisher Wed 24-Jan-18 12:25:43

This must be one of the worst pieces of clothing ever made!
It's a dreadful colour, it obviously doesn't look good fastened and from the back it looks like a navvy's jacket

Congrats M&S!

annsixty Wed 24-Jan-18 12:00:56

The ones I saw online are mostly hideous and I wouldn't be ever likely to buy them . I agree with Charley about the blogger who helped design them , not a good look.

glammanana Wed 24-Jan-18 11:53:05

I've just had a look on line and not impressed one little bit,so many of the jackets & cardigans have the waterfall frontage which makes anyone look bigger than they are, very unflattering styles.

kittylester Wed 24-Jan-18 11:45:51

Not too big Teetime, but I love you!! grin

Charleygirl Wed 24-Jan-18 11:24:16

I have just checked it on line and the person who helped put it together looked like a sack tied in the middle. All of the tops in my opinion were too short. To start with I thought that it was age and not size!
