Went to a little ones party recently, enjoyed mandarin oranges set in lemon jelly, oh my lord I am now hooked!! Verging on obsessed reallygrin so simple if full of sugar, too easy to wolf down in a cup watching tv, so what about you, have you any little delicacies, odd or not, that you can't resist?

Mcem - yes grin

Also disgraceful quantities of milk or sickly white chocolate, plain crisps and chocolate eclairs. Not at the same time, I should add. And these indulgences are no longer a reality because I'm eating very healthily these days.....blush

I'm sneaking into the drawer where the leftover boxes of M&S cherry liquer chocs are - 2 for breakfast!

Not jelly for me - have never been able to stand the consistency. In half an hour my morning coffee will be accompanied by a triangle of the bar of Milka chocolate we bought at the airport - it has a layer of milk choice, when a white layer and is topped with dark chocoalte triangles.

Thick sliced white bread with Lurpak butter..topped with home cooked ham and plain crisps and another slice of buttered bread...only bettered by leaving off the crisps and adding red hot chips....but Marmite..yuk never...

Crumpets with strawberry jam

I've been making 'goldfish' jelly for years . And it's always the choice of dessert after a huge Christmas dinner, as its light and refreshing. But what I want to know is why I can't find tangerine flavoured jelly anymore. That was always the preferred flavour with the mandarins.

My kids used to like my very fancy traffic light pudding. Red jelly at the bottom, custard in the middle and green jelly mixed with seived stewed apple on the top. If you can make the see through basins tilt while it is all setting it looks even more fancy!! smile (That is about as fancy as my cooking gets.)

I love sticks of celery with apple and crunchy peanut butter. Bit like using the butter as a dip rather than humus.

Slices of malt loaf topped with Stilton... I had a craving for it when I was pregnant with DD - and I still love it all these years later smile

damewithaname Wed 24-Jan-18 09:31:49

Lol sounds yuck!!!!

I think maybe pregnancy hormones might still be present in some grin

Omg what delicious treats you all indulge in, so many new lovely ideas to try out!!

Bathsheba Tue 23-Jan-18 18:58:54

Sweet potato, mashed with coconut oil and cinnamon.
Brie and grape sandwich - either a crusty baguette or freshly baked farmhouse white bread.
Cheddar cheese and Ritz biscuit sandwich.
And try this one, really lush: mashed up corned beef, crushed ready salted crisps and salad cream, mixed together and spread between two slices of white bread smile

Oops didn't heed the 'quirky' ?..ah well on toast, together,Philly, marmalade and peanut butter, also love sprout butties (sandwich)

Menopaws Tue 23-Jan-18 18:47:26

I've said it before and I'll say it again, scrambled egg on top of marmalade instead of marmite

winterwhite Tue 23-Jan-18 18:38:43

Tomato sandwiches, with local tomatoes, proper butter and farmhouse white bread

mcem Tue 23-Jan-18 18:08:34

Never have liked the texture of jelly but raspberries are fine!

MesMopTop Tue 23-Jan-18 17:11:46

Try mashing a banana onto hot buttered toast then dust lightly with cinnamon sugar. I’m also partial to tomato ketchup spread on bread.,

glammanana Tue 23-Jan-18 16:59:31

Strawberry glitter jelly is my ggd's favourite (and mine) and banana & choc spread sandwich's go down a treat.

Bridgeit Tue 23-Jan-18 16:50:57
