One of our grandchildren apparently has a posh name. I didn't know this until I was asked by a (fairly posh Tory) friend what the baby was called and when I told him he said "you can't have a grandchild called xxx - you are a Liberal Democrat!

LbDems are very posh. Conservatives are positively aspirational lower working class now

My DM thought putting the milk bottle on the table was common. My brother and I would do it to tease her. I think my "beyond the pale" is seeing people out in their PJs. I was truly gobsmacked seeing someone doing a big shop in supermarket in PJs and slippers. Not just a quick dash in and out. I can't go out of house in my slippers.

There was a thread on mumsnet saying it was considered common to cut your carrot in rings rather than batons!

Just caught up again with this thread and admit to buying some ready boiled beetroot last week which I sliced into vinegar and have really enjoyed ,first with Shepherds Pie and next in sandwiches with cheese.
How common am I?
