Quick nip in to report that things are slightly better.
He is on a ward ( from yesterday) in the euphemistically named, The Department of Medicine for Older People.
It is bright and comfy, he has an electric bed he cannot operate but the staff will. He is responding to the new antib and best news of all, he is walking a few steps on a walking frame.
It was also so good to see him wearing his own pyjamas.
Dr came while I was there yesterday as slight concern about haemoglobin levels, he could be bleeding somewhere.
All told I am much happier.
You have all been so lovely putting up with me.

Thank you for the warning Charleygirl, I can well believe it. I too slept till late today but also had vivid dreams and woke up sweating, coughing and retching, which was quite alarming.
Another day hunkering down I fear.
I do hope the rest of you are either fending this off or turning a corner, inactivity when you don’t feel well enough to enjoy it seems so unfair!

I watched a lot of Olympics yesterday so did absolutely zilch, not even putting rubbish out and I still managed to sleep for 9 hours although the dreams were violent. I should give sleep lessons to those who have problems.

Maw you will find that you think that you are feeling better and the lurgy comes back with a vengeance, not once but a few times.

Just watched a video of The Mill on the Floss; recorded it years ago and kept trying to read the book before I watched it. Finally admitted to myself that I wasn't going to get through the book so dug the video out. Didn't realise it was so sad [sob]....

So sorry Maw. It seems so unfair to get a second dose of the horrible bug. Keep warm, drink lots and I hope it goes away soon. Gute Besserung indeed, to you and to Cornergran who seems to have had it for ages too.

Gird your loins grannyq we love doc and enjoy their company but they can be hard work. Look after yourself cornergran It should have run it’s course by next weekend if you rest up. Hold on tight galen in case there’s an aftershock make sure those bottles are safe. Did it remind you of hitting a rough patch at sea? Lovely baby soop lucky you. I’ve spent the day with 7 year old grandson. He’s such a poppet, the most affectionate of all my 8. He’s not long lost three teeth, costing his parents a fortune. He’s worried he won’t be able to eat an apple. Evening all I wonder what book little gummy will want to read to me tonight.

Very grumpy and doing very little, so I am being sensible charley, well with the second bit anyway.

Mr C’s neck is back to normal thank you kitty, or normal for him . He’s promised to be sensible in future, oh dear, we can’t both be sensible.

Didn’t notice the earthquake here, but then I may not have been awake to notice. If the centre was near Swansea I agree bellanonna, our annieb will definitely have noticed it.

Over 40 years ago we lived in a village at the other end of the Long Mynd and used to love scaring visitors by driving over to Church Stretton for Sunday lunch via the road with huge drops into the valley.
