Unbelievable What I've Just Read
Mega dinghies transport 230 migrants in one go. 80,000 arrived under Labour.
'Here we are again
Happy as can be
All good pals and jolly good company.
Never mind the weather
Never mind the rain
As long as we're together...
Woops we go again.
WELCOME. Make yourselves at home.
Bellasnana For goodness sake, don't go putting such ideas in Galen's head. We have enough trouble with her as it is.
ann You have the right attitude. You are a glass half-full person. Good on ya!
Corner Now that you've mentioned Maltesers, I have a sudden craving for a Mars bar. Haven't had one in years. Now look what you've done!
Galen Your IQ is being tested, that's a fact. Although...some folk choose to wear only one earring. How daft is that? It's akin to wearing one sock and one shoe. Bloody daft, I calls it.
A very warm welcome to our Nanawind* You are a mere youngster. So yes, please make yourself at home in the kitchen and share whatever wine you have and we'll make a nice
. I would be interested in seeing photos of the grand dogs - George and Cookie. Here is a painting that I'm working on I do it for fun. This wee dog's face is on a PDSA advert and I fell in love with him.
Very good question charley, wish there was a sensible answer
.
and
to those who are decorating. I need to start on the kitchen but it’s the thought of washing it all down first that I hate!
Galen at least you have a spare if by chance you lose one. I am surprised you received another set without a fight but there again they are making so much money the price of your earrings, all 3 of them is a drop in the ocean to that company..
It is really cold here today and snow is on its way tomorrow- we are so lucky.
Galen you could always get another piercing somewhere else
He doesn’t need an earring, though!
Galen you can lend your spare ear to DH, who clearly cannot manage with just two, as he hears absolutely nothing I say to him.
Grrrr!
Ordered a PAIR of earrings from amazon.
Arrived today
Only one in the box!
I’ve pointed out I HAVE TWO EARS!
They’ve apologised and are sending another pair.
I will then have THREE EARRINGS!
How many ears do I have?
I appreciate that this is a very difficult mathematical puzzle, but I’m sure some of you lot can work it out!
( might involve differential calculus and the expansion of the binomial theorem, but I’m sure you’ll manage!)
corner if Mr.C would like to practise on my staircase I would be more than happy. I will do the labouring, rubbing down with sandpaper first. The last lot of clowns did not bother with any preparation and used ceiling paint on the stairs, as one does.
That would get Mr. C in the mood for painting his own abode. May I ask why you are doing it now as it is not exactly the time of year to throw open windows.
Oh blimey greyd you’ve described chez corner next week. Mr C is looking forward to it, guess who isn’t?
.
At least your DH will eat “proper fish”, Ann. I would have rather enjoyed that meal. I am suffering a surfeit of paint fumes today. The whole house reeks of it, the upstairs is a mess until it is all finished, and I am rather fed up. Be okay tommorrow I expect.
Good vibes to all who seem to be slightly struggling with life today.
My H was up and downstairs at 4:50 this morning to open the door for the paper boy.
I managed to persuade him to go back to bed.
We have just had a nice meal of baked salmon with veg which he did enjoy, the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc enhanced it.
He is now dozing in his chair and will be in bed soon.
Life is not all bad.
Thanks people's for your welcome, me and h are being silly now and thinking of having a vodka,to us Saturday's are for enjoyment we tighten our belts through the week. Sometimes we think we are in our 20's but realise that's a lie (late 50's).
Count down to a quick holiday in benidorm. Then home to welcome George and Cookie our grandogs whilst son and family away.
George is so calm and knows the routine. Cookie is so naughty he's looking to escape all the time. (Don't worry both spoilt to bits, even allowed on the bed).
Your welcome to a glass of chilled white greyd, or one of Mr C’s red. I’ll even share the Maltesers too
. There’s a hug too if you need it.
I feel as if I could do with a couple of bottles glasses too this evening. Welcome, Nanawind!
Hello nana. I’ve just enjoyed a glass of very dry sherry, happy to join you, there’s some white chilling. Weekends are for treats
The world is the right way up again today, actually got some things done, just one of those days. Your gran was definitely right n&g, just 24 hours. Oh yes, please, a race with galen would be superb.
We’ve one struggling with friendships, doesn’t it just squeeze your heart until it chokes you? A big hug for you and another for Jackson.
Your friend will be so appreciative of your help soop: isn’t it so much better when people let us help? I find the most difficult situations are when those who are oh so obviously struggling say ‘I’m fine’ and fend off all offers of help.
No sun here either, charley, horrid day, got more than damp doing a food shop. We’re decorating next week so did some preparatory moving around today. I’m assured the decorating will be easily accomplished. Is it OK to say I have my doubts?
How good if you could sell your car and scooter as a package galen. Unless you decide to keep the scooter, three is a nice number
.
Some Maltesers have just appeared by my elbow. Be rude not to enjoy them. Take care everyone.
Hello nanna, welcome to the kitchen. Never one to look a gift horse in the mouth I would love to join you for a glass
cheers
Welcome * Nana*! By this time on Saturday, we will happily join you in a glass
. We will eat biscuits or bought goodies too, so don’t feel bad if you don’t bake!!
Hope I'm welcome in your kitchen, unfortunately cannot make cake but like wine and having a cheeky glass now ok it's a bottle maybe 2, celebrating a small win on the horses.(£95) only cost me 70pence.
So if you want a glass hurry up as it's going down nicely.
Love reading your thread and how you care for each other.
I have forgotten what sun looks like as it has been heavy rain, a tad misty and cold. I hate driving in that type of weather- it is what other idiots do.
Where Tara is, is anybody's guess but she will appear at 7pm as usual. She allowed me to sleep until 9am having woken me around 5am expecting me to get up- not likely.
soop definitely not the best day for us.
Charleyg Not a good day for the Scots! I had hoped for something a tad more exciting. Never mind, they gave of their best.
It is a beautiful late afternoon in Kintyre. Sunny and breezy.
Time to read today's paper. At six o'clock sharp I shall have a glass of Wolfe Blas wine. Lovely!
I shall log off and return tomorrow. Warm thoughts to you all.

soop the tennis results are not good, Jamie Murray and his partner were 2 sets down- I cannot watch it. I do not understand rugby so I never watch that.
I ma trying to work out where to put the paper into my singing and dancing printer.
I have braved the elements 3C here and run the grill at full blast with the French doors open to get rid of the carcinogenic toxins. I am spoiled with choice cookingwise now.
Galen a good job I was not drinking coffee or I would have choked reading your remark!
