I have enjoyed my outing today and have just cooked a lazy tea of sausages.
I am really tired today so hope to get to bed even earlier than usual. My S is 48 tomorrow so I suppose we will have a visit from him, he is currently staying at his bi-polar partner's house, it never lasts, they drive each other mad.
Oh for an easy family.

The latest bill came from the garage this morning. MacSporran hasn't opened it. It's in the dreaded pending file.

The weather has been decent today. We shall be off to the care home tomorrow morning. Treat in the Royal at lunchtime. Trip around Tesco and back home. It's good to have a routine. We're so easily pleased.

The buggerations that kept me from the kitchen were both big and small... the big being a family problem and the small being the lack or a car, then a car I couldn't drive, then another car I couldn't drive, then snow ...BUT ....all is now well with my world. My beloved car is back and I have been out albeit only to Morrison's !!!

On the subject of Morrison's, we have our eldest daughter , her husband and Herbert and Sherbet staying tomorrow night ( with Sherbet staying on for 4 days when they leave. Can anyone explain why I have just spent the sum of the national debt for a small country on groceries for what is effectively 4 more mouths for 2 meals and a small girl for half a week?????

Ah Kitty we too have a roadshow next week all about the Norwich Local Plan which involves 7 sites in our village for building. One of which....sit down its shocking.... is my view !!!! MY FIELD !!!!! Well obviously that's not going to happen !! I have rallied the troops, Grampy and Laura will deliver flyers to all on our road over the weekend and then I will help EVERYONE lodge their complaints.

Like you , there is no plan to improve amenities , no more doctors , no bigger school and the site entrance would be onto our single track road. If you see a headline saying old dear, shackled to gate on mobility scooter...that'll be me !

If I have to stand for council to stop it I will . Hell hath no fury like a woman about to lose her 'Vuu' as they say here !! :-)

I have the 3 little boys for half a week next week and we have big plans , so I have made them matching t-shirts , so when we take them out people are forewarned - see picture !!

I hope all is well with N&G, she is unusually quite.

I had a new experience yesterday, helping out at a Memory Cafe for people living with Alzheimer's and their carer's. There was music session with a husband and wife duo who were really good. I had been worried that the songs would be of the 'Pack Up Your Troubles in Your Old Kitbag' variety and was pleasantly surprised when they played early Rock and Roll and songs from Musicals. It was lovely to see all the people there having a real good sing song.

When the rain stops I am off to vote to accept our village plan - which should stop the building of bland estates all round the periphery of our village without the necessary amenities eg a new Health Centre, more school places and, hopefully, more carparking so the people on the edge of the village can come into the village and help it thrive. Sorry, little rant there. Back later after a stomp in the rain to the Polling Station!

We are off out shortly on our second school run of the week. I could do with staying in. I had a doctors appointment this morning but cancelled it yesterday because I felt better. Guess what? Hey ho. I’ll make another for next week.

My son has asked if he can come and stay tomorrow night. I hope it is just because he’s trying to avoid an early start for the footie on Saturday, but I rather fancy it’s not. He’s been rather down lately. Well, lending ears and damp shoulders never stops coming with the territory, does it?

Corner I was told earlier this week that I cannot have my staircase painted gloss anytime soon unless it can be left for around 48 hours. Not possible, Tara does not understand. I would be okay as I have a stairlift.

JaneD3 Drat! If I were you, I'd ditch those scales. They do not play fair. I gauge my weight by one rule only...either my waistband is snug, or it's loose. I prefer the latter but...I try to remain positive.
