Where have all those genuinely funny women gone such as, Patricia Haynes, Hattie Jaques, Mollie Sugden, Hylda Baker, Beryl Reid, Liz Smith. We only have June Whitfield left. ?

She used to be on with Russ Abbott and Les Dennis. A real character actress who didn't care how she was presented. I wish I could share the photo of her I saw on the BBC new website. You'd know her if you saw it Charleygirl.
