Can anyone see the logic in this.....??

I keep finding things which DS2 bought when he was here with the GSs just before Christmas. He is exactly the same type as the ones discussed on this thread. At one time, their utility room was packed to the ceiling with big boxes of detergent 'because they were on offer'. He gets his Scottish blood from me

I narrowly managed to stop DH buying two reduced
Christmas puddings today. We still have a reduced
Christmas pudding left over from last January which I doubt will get eaten now. He can’t resist anything that says “reduced” or “two for the price of....” I will probably bury it into garden and leave it for future generations to discover and marvel at the strange and remarkable things we ate!

Could it be something in the water?

Katek, I can see the logic in it. I am the woman who has enough Christmas wrapping paper to last for the next ten years. At 25p a roll, I couldn't resist it.

My DH came across excellent kitchen rolls at 10p each in Asda and bought so many it took us 8 years to use them up. I used to have nightmares about our children having to dispose of them if we both popped our clogs!
I now buy one twin pack at a time!

My DH does the shopping. We have 48 toilet rolls in the spare bedroom (they were reduced to a silly price in B&Q), and stacked in the pantry six jars of coffee, enough cereal to last six months, several packets of cheese biscuits and other stuff stocked up on because it was reduced. I have enough Bold to last six months and Domestos to last four. He knows they’ll be reduced again, so why this compulsion to buy? And the shops are only 500 yards away! He has no Scottish blood.

Yes you can freeze them! A man after my own heart! Yesterday I bought a box of 6 mince pies cos they were down to 25p.

I wonder how much the birds will be able to eat - and the cats don’t mind the occasional chew on a Twiglet. Ooh, we have Burn’s Day lunch with Scottish grans coming up......perhaps I could take a few extras.......
