I have no axe to grind with anyone who has no religion at all, or those who are agnostic, but it would be nice if in return they would show some understanding of those who do have religious beliefs.

I hope I would have the same respect for anyone's religion, be it Christianity, Islam, Hinduism or whatever.
The whole idea of the sausage roll was not funny, was disrespectful to people's beliefs, particularly at this time of year - and is now very stale.

I don't have to be a practising Christian to feel like that about it.

I suppose the fact that being a Christian is such a hard thing to achieve explains the high degree of failure exhibited on this thread. I will try and bear that in mind in the future and make allowances

Well as an agnostic (and I suspect some of you don't know the difference between that and an atheist) I am constantly surprised by the conflicting attitudes and ideas which some who call themselves Christians are able to hold. It seems that they only pay lip service to many of the things that their religion requires of them and appear to think that having faith makes up for this. Still "By their fruits shall ye know them".
