They also managed to sneak through another change that will affect many of us, and not in a good way (of course!) - "opted out" years don't count towards the "universal" pension. People think they will at least have the benefit of a higher pension when we eventually get there, but it's not going to be the case for most of us.
Someone needs to go back to Junior School himself.

I'm adding my own little extras into number 3 - the lack of the bus pass will be one, and the fact that the DWP told me in a letter a few years back that I wouldn't have to pay any NI contributions once I got to 60 - another thing that's changed with the latest SPA hike.
