You MUST declare any health problems-don't give the ins co the least excuse not to cough up when you need it!

It must be declared, because if you were afflicted by a similar sort of thing whilst on holiday your insurance would be invalidated.

If you go online, insurance companies now have a series of Yes/No questions where you can input details and allow them to tailor a quote. You can do similar by phone, too.

I have some health issues and my consultant told me to ask the British Lung Foundation about travel insurance. They recommended Fish insurance and I found their quote to be cheaper than Staysure for instance. They specialise in insuring people with existing health problems and did not seem to be too phased about my health although I did tell them that my consultant was happy for me to travel.

I don't have experience of this, but seeing as it was inconclusive and over a year ago, you're working, driving, and so on - would it have any impact on whether you need to disclose it for travel insurance? My guess is probably not.

I hear good reports of The Oldie travel insurance, esp being helpful on the phone. I don't think you need be all that Old. Dunno re your specific query tho. Good luck! You must need a holiday.

Please can any Gransnetters give me some urgent advice regarding TI.
In July 2016 I was seen in hospital with a suspected TIA (mini stroke).
All relevant tests were done, but it was inconclusive as to whether or not one had occurred.
However, consultant advised 1 month no driving and no work.
All okay after that so able to drive, work etc but on aspirin and a statin everyday.
Now going on holiday to Spain this coming weekend and shopping around for TI.
Has anyone else on here had experience of buying cover with this sort of inconclusive situation and found a good company for quotes?
