We've just discovered £140 on DH'S Nectar card!!

I thought his card was linked to mine but when i checked whether some points we got with insurance had arrived, I discovered he's got his own account with years' worth of points accumulated!

What should we 'buy'?

Have a look on the Nectar website as there are many things to spend points on.
We took the grandkids to Legoland using ours!

Super Kitty I'd keep it until the next time Sainsburys have a 50% sale on clothing and household goodies and bag some bargains.

Well done! Do you know about the Sainsbury's double up offer they run every year? www.Sainsburys.co.uk/DoubleUp From 8th Nov I think. Happy spending power!

Barry60 Tue 31-Oct-17 10:09:48

Sainsbury's have got their Nectar double up coming soon

Angela1961 Tue 31-Oct-17 10:10:14

We've never really spent ours. First time about 4 years ago when we got a new 'big' tv. Cost a fair bit so we spent our nectar points for a few months until we had spent the same as the value of the tv. Currently have around £400 of nectar points. My husband doesn't want to use them but I keep saying the actual value is going down as good prices are rapidly going up.

* food* prices.

This is what we call "magic money " i.e unanticipated. Whenever it turns up here....we spend it on something beautiful that makes us happy. At the moment, Sainsbury's have 25% off 6 bottles of St Emilion... et voila... job done ! Cheers !

ClaraB Tue 31-Oct-17 10:26:36

Sainsbury's have an extra 25% off wine if you buy 6 or more bottles but the offer ends today.

Treat yourselves.

As Barry60 mentioned Sainsburys have there double up your points scheme coming up again soon, it’s worth waiting till then. And you don’t have to buy instore there are lots of days out etc and goodies you can get, or use it for your Christmas food shop.Enjoy!!

jane1956 Tue 31-Oct-17 14:45:39

the double upp in two weeks 5-6 dept round store £5 = £10 voucher or £20-£40 off electrical/entertaiment, ttd wine, Christmas gifting. so your £140 could be worth £280!!!

Just a word of warning to those with large balances - make sure you keep your cards safe. No checks are made on ID when redeeming and if you lose your card and somebody else spends your points they are gone for good. It is so easy for someone who finds a card to make a small cash purchase, swipe the card and discover how much is on it. When my son worked at Sainsbury's during his gap year and saw a few customers lose out he advised me to spend my points as I go along.
