Suggestions for new mum treat

I gave DDiL an Occitan pamper pack after the birth of our first grandchild ( I knew she loved Occitan). Second time round I planted a lavender border in their garden, again I knew she loved lavender.

I bought my DIL a Willow Tree figure when our first grandchild was gone.

My friends daughter became a mum for first time earlier in the year and she was given a pretty silver bangle which has her daughters name and birth date engraved on the inside. Room to add another name or two if she has other children.

I think you may mean something special to keep?
Depending on your budget, maybe a small piece of simple jewellery? Maybe something with a special message inside/on the back.
I had an unexpected piece of engraved jewellery on my 21st - which I have to admit I wouldn’t have chosen at the time, but as the years have gone by I love it more and more for the thought, its message and the simplicity.

Does she like treatments like facial/massage. Our local place does a mother to be package which I bought my daughter but her baby came early so she used it a few months later. Our generation missed out on any focus on ourselves as expectant or new mothers. It's great to see more focus on a treat of some kind for the new mother. I did practical stuff, like freezing meals so the new parents didn't have to cook every day but got a nourishing meal.

How about a pretty nightie for her or even a dressing gown. Can’t think you will be able to babysit if she is in the US,

How about a voucher for hair and facial? Also a book of tickets. Each ticket is one night you will look after the baby so she can sleep.
