Well, I went to have a good old moan in the 'anyone awake' thread, and found it has been closed. So, here is a new one.
I'm awake, I have a headache, I'm at work, so can't go prowling around, and I know tomorrow is going to be a terrible day.

Nana3 Fri 27-Oct-17 06:22:12

Hello Annie,
A bit of progress for you, if it is an ulcer it can be treated with meds hopefully. The drinks should build up your strength. I'm thinking you'll have to switch phone off at night, your mind is always alert otherwise.
Hope you got some sleep.

Marydoll Fri 27-Oct-17 08:23:58

Annie, glad you are getting some help. You need to build up your strength.
Lying awake expecting the phone calls isn't helping. As Nana says, thinking about switching phone off at night. Take care.

Bellanonna Fri 27-Oct-17 10:56:44

Annie do switch the phone off. I think you said recently that someone was worried because you weren’t answering, so it might help to send a brief text to anyone who’d be concerned, and a brief message to the offending daughter just saying “phone off”. You honestly can’t go on putting yourself through this, and reading those unwelcome messages. Is it any wonder you can’t sleep? Do give it a try Annie. You just can’t go on like thst. I’m glad you’re having the endoscopy and as Nana said, if you do have an ulcer then that can be looked after. But please, please, phone off at night and maybe even delete any daytime messages thst look as though they will be hard to deal with. Thinking of you, and worrying about you too!

Belle, she may hit another low point and take an overdose again. I have sent her a text telling her my phone will be off .

I had a perforated ulcer some years ago, too scared to have that pain again.

Thank you

anniebach it is a vicious circle is it not? You worry about your DD, you lie awake worrying, your stomach is playing up because of the stress of your DD so the pain it is generating is also keeping you awake so that you can lie awake worrying.
Every sympathy. I hope the cycle can be broken somehow flowers

Just so Maw x

BBbevan Sat 28-Oct-17 04:08:36

Bora da. Anniebach I was asleep by 9 last night after a very busy day. So have done my usual 7 hours sleep. My book is downstairs. I might venture down in a while but it is nice and warm here. Have a nice Saturday. Xxx

Anniebach Sat 28-Oct-17 04:28:46

Bora da BB, i fell asleep about 12.30 so no seven hours sleep for me. I may sleep for about two hours this afternoon, this is the pattern now, not the same as the straight seven / eight hours at night.

Imperfect27 Sat 28-Oct-17 04:58:09

Sorry you are having such bad nights Annie. If I wake up I tend to be very awake - give up and do something for an hour and then try to sleep again. Only 4 hours last night so not enough. I am going to try for another hour now ...

cornergran Sat 28-Oct-17 06:36:53

Oh dear, annie so sorry the broken sleep continues. I was awake at 2 and 4 again. Wide awake now. Pain management issues. I've a busy day today so will be up very soon. Rest when you can everyone.

Grandma70s Sat 28-Oct-17 08:26:44

Awake since 4 yet again. Feel zombie-like, brainless, headachey. How do my fellow insomniacs cope during the day? I just want to go back to bed, but too much time in bed must be bad for muscles and so on.

Bellanonna Sat 28-Oct-17 09:20:06

Annie I’m so sorry to read that. Always about the same time, too? I hope you manage some sleep this afternoon. Hoping too that everyone else has a better night tonight.

Newquay Sat 28-Oct-17 09:39:59

Hope everyone has a decent day despite not sleeping well. I watched Graham Norton, always makes me smile, depending on guests. Must have fallen asleep about midnight. Wide awake about 1am so. . . got up and made Christmas cake! It's an old Philip Harben's recipe of MIL which DH loves even though it's never cut at Christmas these days and often lasts til Easter! Came back to bed about 4 ish. Just woken up-if I were a headache person I wd have one! Plan to do some tidying in the garden today, overcast here in Staffs, forecast windy tomorrow so will put washing out before church then.

Anniebach Sat 28-Oct-17 12:20:30

I take a sleeping tablet so am a zombie when I wake at 3, most I can manage is making mug of tea, making a Christmas cake? That is amazing . Think I was a dormouse in a previous life

Hi Belle x

Anniebach Sun 29-Oct-17 02:13:27

Radio clock says 2.08 so must be 3.08 yesterday's time - that doesn't make sense . So tired can't think straight .

Having mug tea.
