Well, I went to have a good old moan in the 'anyone awake' thread, and found it has been closed. So, here is a new one.
I'm awake, I have a headache, I'm at work, so can't go prowling around, and I know tomorrow is going to be a terrible day.

Ginny42 Mon 12-Feb-18 06:27:53

I slept fitfully, although I didn't try to sleep until after 03.00. Waking up and hoping we all have a better day. x

Instead of sleeping I spent most of last night worrying about my Tesco online food shopping due to be delivered at 7.00am, usually end up ordering too much of one thing and not enough of another. Took us ages to work our way through 12 yoghurts (all the same flavour)! and 3 ton of grapes!

Ye gods I have coughed my way through the night seeing all the hours and most of the halves and quarters too. ???

Anniebach Mon 12-Feb-18 02:29:43

Sorry your still having broken sleep Ginny

Ginny42 Mon 12-Feb-18 02:13:09

I knew that POPS but when the thoughts just won't stop free-wheeling round my brain I just have to get up and do something. No use lying there, as the thoughts just don't stop I'm afraid.

Theres quite a lot of evidence to show that screens on phones tablets and even the TV have a detrimental effect on sleep. Google screens and sleep for more info.

Just joined gransnet 3am ish.... Have a feeling that sleep may evade me for the rest of this night ... It's now 4.27 and I've been checking out the various forums...
Choosing insomniac's anon seemed most appropriate for a first post to say hello to other wakeful ladies.
Going to see if I can go to sleep now ... Hope you all can too.. Nite nite ?x

Anniebach Fri 09-Feb-18 04:58:25

Sorry your awake in night again Ginny, I am every night, I stopped the nightly tea and rennies posts ? Hope you are sleeping now x

Ginny42 Fri 09-Feb-18 03:03:40

Oh dear awake again and can't switch off. Hoping I am the only one awake and worrying. Wish I had an off switch.

WilmaKnickersfit Wed 07-Feb-18 03:22:35

Me too. Night everyone. ???????

Ginny42 Wed 07-Feb-18 02:43:47

3.40 here so I'm going to try to get some sleep. Night all. x

Menopaws Wed 07-Feb-18 02:40:40

Thanks Wilma now I need to go!

Ginny42 Wed 07-Feb-18 02:28:32

Re: Wagner, I thought I read that he's refusing to speak with police. Is that not an offence? It seems some new evidence has been found. It didn't say what.

Ginny42 Wed 07-Feb-18 02:26:15

Yes! We've been having BBQs and it's warm in the sunny spots in the garden. A bit chill at night. I'd extended my stay before the cold weather arrived in the UK, but I'm so pleased I have seeing the snow on the news.

WilmaKnickersfit Wed 07-Feb-18 02:13:08

I don't have anything to snack on, but I've got a flask of honey and warm water. Exciting. Not. grin

WilmaKnickersfit Wed 07-Feb-18 02:11:36

jordana what do you think about him being a person of interest again in the investigation into Natalie's death?

Ginny42 Wed 07-Feb-18 02:10:02

I've had a banana and a hot chocolate drink. It's real chocolate, so I'll probably still be awake when the family get up. Are you reading that because he's just been investigated re Natalie Wood's death?

WilmaKnickersfit Wed 07-Feb-18 02:10:00

Been to the loo now! grin

The weather here in the Midlands is OK, chilly but not too bad. The colder temperatures are quite patchy, but we're expecting a sunny day tomorrow.

Are you somewhere warm Ginny?

jordana Wed 07-Feb-18 01:37:41

Still up and reading Robert wagner book called' I loved her in the movies'. The females stars through the decades...a gentleman in that there is no smut about them. Must put it down and go back to bed after having 2 baileys and a frys cream chocolate bar!

Ginny42 Wed 07-Feb-18 01:33:22

I gather the weather in the UK is very cold and conditions for going anywhere rather treacherous. Perhaps you're doing the wisest thing as you've not been too well. Stay in the warmth and get better. And go to the loo!

WilmaKnickersfit Wed 07-Feb-18 01:28:31

There's a lot of us here quite regularly now and I'm glad we can reach out to each other.

I'm dying to go to the loo, but don't want to get out of my warm bed! grin

Yesterday I did what I didn't think I could do - I rearranged my hair appointment and cancelled lunch with my friends. In the day at the moment I'm just too tired to do much. Catching up with lost sleep during the day is not the same as sleep during the night.

It's still early yet.

Ginny42 Wed 07-Feb-18 01:19:30

Hi Jordana, sorry you need to be here. I'm currently an hour ahead of the UK, so been unable to drop off. put lights out and settled down but sleep just won't come at the moment. Too anxious about a family issue.

jordana Wed 07-Feb-18 01:12:16

I am the one who can't drop of to sleep easy. Mind too active and then get too hot and bothered and not comfortable. Get to bed and get up again 2 or 3 times before I can nod off. Then sleep till around 8am. Most people on here I think manage to get to sleep but wake at 2 or 3 am just as I am trying to sleep. I think it is more common to read to get to sleep and wake early rather than me who can't seem to ,switch off

NotAGran55 Tue 06-Feb-18 05:06:49
