Well, I went to have a good old moan in the 'anyone awake' thread, and found it has been closed. So, here is a new one.
I'm awake, I have a headache, I'm at work, so can't go prowling around, and I know tomorrow is going to be a terrible day.

Anniebach Fri 27-Oct-17 22:07:59

Thank you Nana, I admit I am desperate for a good nights sleep x

Nana3 Fri 27-Oct-17 21:43:47

I hope you have a better night too Annie (((hugs)))

Anniebach Fri 27-Oct-17 21:28:22

Thank you wot

Hope you get a better night, tonight, Annie.

Anniebach Fri 27-Oct-17 12:57:25

Just so Maw x

MawBroon Fri 27-Oct-17 12:48:39

anniebach it is a vicious circle is it not? You worry about your DD, you lie awake worrying, your stomach is playing up because of the stress of your DD so the pain it is generating is also keeping you awake so that you can lie awake worrying.
Every sympathy. I hope the cycle can be broken somehow flowers

Anniebach Fri 27-Oct-17 12:27:52

Belle, she may hit another low point and take an overdose again. I have sent her a text telling her my phone will be off .

I had a perforated ulcer some years ago, too scared to have that pain again.

Thank you

Bellanonna Fri 27-Oct-17 10:56:44

Annie do switch the phone off. I think you said recently that someone was worried because you weren’t answering, so it might help to send a brief text to anyone who’d be concerned, and a brief message to the offending daughter just saying “phone off”. You honestly can’t go on putting yourself through this, and reading those unwelcome messages. Is it any wonder you can’t sleep? Do give it a try Annie. You just can’t go on like thst. I’m glad you’re having the endoscopy and as Nana said, if you do have an ulcer then that can be looked after. But please, please, phone off at night and maybe even delete any daytime messages thst look as though they will be hard to deal with. Thinking of you, and worrying about you too!

Marydoll Fri 27-Oct-17 08:23:58

Annie, glad you are getting some help. You need to build up your strength.
Lying awake expecting the phone calls isn't helping. As Nana says, thinking about switching phone off at night. Take care.

Nana3 Fri 27-Oct-17 06:22:12

Hello Annie,
A bit of progress for you, if it is an ulcer it can be treated with meds hopefully. The drinks should build up your strength. I'm thinking you'll have to switch phone off at night, your mind is always alert otherwise.
Hope you got some sleep.

Grandma70s Fri 27-Oct-17 06:18:39

I hope something works for you, Anniebach.

I woke at 4 as usual, tried to go back to sleep - and actually did, till 5.25! Couldn’t believe it.

Anniebach Fri 27-Oct-17 02:57:59

2.30am, mug of tea and world news yet again.

Saw GP yesterday , wants me to have endoscopy, concerned ulcer may be the cause . Sending script for medication and script for those meal replacement drinks to my chemist, they will then deliver them to me. To take the meal replacement drinks in addition to meals not instead of meals.

Just had text from daughter, so much hatred, so much hurt, too afraid to block her because she may text for help yet can't take more of these night time verbal attacks.

Got physiotherapist calling today. Gosh I have wittered on, sorry. Hope everyone is sleeping .

Bellanonna Thu 26-Oct-17 13:52:36

Yes, Marydoll, do take care.
Coolgran I hope the phone consultation was helpful
Annie let us know how it went with the GP

Nana3 Thu 26-Oct-17 11:01:35

Sorry about your fall Marydoll. Take care of yourself.

Marydoll Thu 26-Oct-17 10:19:35

Yes, just sore! Thanks Annie. Had a really sore back this week, too much lifting DGD. Was very stiff trying to get out of bed and overbalanced. Thanks for asking.

Anniebach Thu 26-Oct-17 09:44:32

Marydoll, are you alright?

Nana3 Thu 26-Oct-17 09:41:50

Hoping you get help that works from your GP too Coolgran65.

Coolgran65 Thu 26-Oct-17 09:25:12

Even with a sleeping pill I'm not sleeping. Have tried everything. This morning I have a telephone appointment with Dr to discuss and hoping he might agree to combine two different sleeping pills, tackle it from two angles. Last night it was 4am and I woke again at after 7. Sometimes I get an hour around 1am and that's it until 4 or 5. And so it has been for at least 20 years...... What I wouldn't give for the bliss of sleep.

Marydoll Thu 26-Oct-17 08:10:39

Another bad night. Fell out of bed going for yet another wee!
Of course DH didn't hear a thing! Couldn't get back to sleep after that.
I hope your GP can help you "Annie".

cornergran Thu 26-Oct-17 06:58:48

Have had four good nights in a row then back to waking every two hours. Goodness knows why. Feel for everyone with on/off sleep. Really hope the GP can help annie, time you were able to rest. Hmm. Wonder if is I'll be seeing you all at 4am tomorrow? Go carefully everyone.

Imperfect27 Thu 26-Oct-17 06:11:45

I have been sleeping better of late - tired by work I think. Thankful for it. Hope you can go gently if you had a bad night last night .xx

Nana3 Thu 26-Oct-17 06:05:25

Not too bad a night for me, I was tired after babysitting 2 small DGD's yesterday and a long drive. Stayed up late too in the hope of getting a better night and it has worked.
Good luck with the GP Annie, hope you have a good one and you get help.

kezia Thu 26-Oct-17 03:03:22

Still awake but it's my own fault. Someone gave me the new Phillip Pullman book and I've just finished it!
I hope others are having a peaceful night

Anniebach Thu 26-Oct-17 02:19:59

2.15 . Tributes to Fats Domino on radio .

Seeing GP today, hope and pray she will help, have had just about enough .

Grandma70s Wed 25-Oct-17 05:53:16

Very little sleep last night. MawBroon, 5.45 is quite late to wake up, but if you haven’t been asleep before then it’s definitely insomnia!

I’ve had a cup of tea, now I’m going to watch BBC Breakfast.
