And I missed you all x .
Royal Mail threatens to stop deliveries over dog attacks
Well, I went to have a good old moan in the 'anyone awake' thread, and found it has been closed. So, here is a new one.
I'm awake, I have a headache, I'm at work, so can't go prowling around, and I know tomorrow is going to be a terrible day.
And I missed you all x .
Yes, I'm missing Annie too. I had bad acid reflux at 3am this morning and thought of her.
I have heard from Annie, I told her we were missing her.
I'm lucky enough not to have trouble sleeping but have popped in to see if there's any news of Annie and I agree it's not like her to stop posting without giving a reason.
Hope you get a reassuring reply to your PM, Marydoll
Anyone heard from Annie?
I'm going to PM her, as this is not like her not to post.
I slept well last night after a day with Littlest, best sleeping medicine there is. Popped in to check on annie, hope she is OK.
Sorry to hear about your bad night morethan. I know how difficult it can be once those thoughts start its hard to stop them.
I was still awake when sailing by came on the radio which they play at 1 am so decided to take a sleeping pill. It worked but i still woke at 5, went back to sleep and husband woke me at 8. !!!!!He knows not to wake me if by some miracle i am asleep. Grrrrrr
I'm a wee bit worried that Annie hasn't been on. I hope she is OK.
I’m doing my 4.30 wake up routine. Night three now. Flipping nuisance. I understand your chicken and egg morethan, either way you’re worried. You’ve a busy day ahead, the energy will be there somehow and hopefully sleep will come tonight. We’re caring for a two year old today. It will be fun but like you I’m tired already thinking about it. I see annie wasn’t here in the night, hope that means a better night.
Oh I hope I’m not setting into a pattern of very early waking again. Woke at three and realised it’s useless trying to get back off. It really is a ‘what comes first the chicken or the egg’ situation. Did I wake worried about DiL or did I start worrying about her and that stopped me getting back to sleep. Most of the time we cope by pretending she’s ok. It’s easy because she doesn’t look particularly ill. Then every now and again the realisation of what’s to come hits me like a great big grey cold wave and I feel sick to my stomach. She and the family came to visit tonight and she said somthing in passing that’s sparked off my concern. ...oh well it’ll pass. It usually does. There’s two little uns asleep upstairs So tommorow I’ve got the school run, finish the Christmas shopping so I can take my other grandchildrens presents up to Liverpool on Saturday, go to the dentist, pack a for the trip. I’m tired already.
I looked at this thread at sometime between four and five when I had been awake since quarter to three for the second night running. You are all lovely people but I don’t want to join you! However, perhaps you would leave the door ajar, just in case........
I woke at 4 this morning, much to think /worry about, par for the course. Try to avoid taking prescribed pills as i only get 14 at a time so need to conserve.
Switched radio on, listened to world service hoping to divert thoughts. Dozed, a bit. Not a lot!
Another day wondering how i can get through it with so little sleep. Zzzzzzzzz
Morning I woke at 4 this morning but just lay in bed ruminating. It’s not a very healthy thing to do. I always end up with terrifing scenarios rolling through my head. I hope your tummy is better today Anniebach perhaps it was the sugar content. Fudge is really full of the stuff. Frustrating though isn’t it when you can’t put your finger on what’s set your tummy off. I hope your day isn’t too bad.
Morning Annie. Just letting you know you're not alone. Sorry you're not feeling well. Has anyone suggested Slippery Elm food? It was always the turn to medicine for upset stomach.
A neighbour's dog barking woke me and I always suspect someone's around to make it bark, so I put the lights on and that's me awake. I woke to find I still had my reading specs on so I must have suddenly fallen into a deep sleep. My DD and GS are visiting and asleep in the house, so I'm not so alone as usual.
3.00am, had more than enough now, stomach really upset , I ate two pieces of fudge yesterday after dinner, big crime, how can I increase calories if just two pieces of fudge can upset so much.
<sigh> Sleep won't come. I am wondering if two squares of chocolate, eaten at 10pm with a cuppa (decaf) would act as a stimulant? Why am I not sleepy? <sighs again> I was going to venture over to News and Politics but thought better of it. I could be over there all night.
Looks like I'll be resorting to drugs again tonight to get some shut-eye. Prescription ones, I hasten to add, but I don't like taking them because even if they work they make me feel so groggy the next day and I have so much to do tomorrow.
Is the saying 'Between a rock and a hard place'? Is so, I am there. Off to bed with my book. At least my legs will be raised and I'll rest. Himself is snoring his head off so it's the spare room for me tonight.
Good night fellow nocturnal types.
We do cornergran x
Shame about the fish. annie, Mr C is the same. Often eat different meals. I’m OK, thank you. I tend to sleep reasonably well for a few nights then have a few with early morning waking. I know pain wakes me but don’t understand why sometimes I can go back to sleep, sometimes not. I try not to worry about it, plug myself in and listen to music. . If I could put the light on I would read a book but as I can’t unless I get up I read via a Kindle app. The iPad is on night setting so a yellow light rather than blue but I’m not convinced it has the same soporific impact as a ‘proper’ book. It keeps my head occupied so it does well enough. We adapt, dont we?
Morning corngran, I hate fish, eat at six in evening, only piece of chicken , nothing after this. I am getting use to the dark hours now, how are you x
Morning annie. I’m wide awake, no idea why. Will listen to some music. Chicken is about the only meat I enjoy, well that and turkey. Do you like fish? Cooks quickly and if not too oily usually easy on the tummy. Not sure when you have your main meal, is it easier on the digestion if you cook at lunch time? In any case, hope you can drift back to sleep. The dark hours always seem longer don’t they.
4.50am, been awake since 3.30am, tried going back to sleep but didn't work so having tea now then rennies, chicken at dinner was rather tough ,fed up of chicken.
? corngran, I am a crashing bore, obsessed with my calorie intake, must stop rabbiting on about it. When I put on weight my younger daughter has promised me a present , oooh.
That sounds better, annie. Fingers crossed chocolate is still on the menu. I find chocolate, particularly hot chocolate, sends me to sleep, not sure about the impact on digestion though. Hope you have a good day.
5.35am, later than usual for reflux to play up, only difference is yesterday I drank Ensure vanilla not chocolate! Hope chocolate isn't on the forbidden list, I have bought several slabs Green &and Black to increase calories.
