Well, I went to have a good old moan in the 'anyone awake' thread, and found it has been closed. So, here is a new one.
I'm awake, I have a headache, I'm at work, so can't go prowling around, and I know tomorrow is going to be a terrible day.

Thank you for the kind wishes. It is feeling better now as DH consulted the pharmacist and brought me some good painkillers.

Marydoll Mon 18-Dec-17 08:12:17

Sorry to hear about your wrist, Rubysong. Here's to a quick recovery. flowers

BlueBelle Mon 18-Dec-17 05:22:25

Ouch hope your wrist gets better soon Rubysong

Shirleyw Mon 18-Dec-17 04:29:53

Here's to a quick heal of your wrist ruby song, must be very uncomfortable as well as painful.
I woke at 3... I think the reason being this time I never exerted myself much yesterday. Was altering curtains all morning and pottered about in the afternoon and never went out hence lack of sleep, bit of a lazy day....nice at the time but not really good for one lol...

rubysong Mon 18-Dec-17 04:12:38

I broke my wrist yesterday and had to have it reset with sedation at the hospital. Everyone was very kind but it was painful and still is. I have had paracetamol and DH has been very helpful but I don't think I'll get any sleep. So feeling a bit sorry for myself. I hope everyone else is asleep.

Anniebach Mon 18-Dec-17 02:32:12

2.20am, so sorry last night brought sleeplessness to you all. I remember Elegran saying stress could cause reflux to be much worse, so I need to de stress

The pump itself is very quiet but if the mask slips in the night the air escaping makes noise. It doesn’t wake me but keeps me awake once I have woken. Have an afternoon nap everyone!

cornergran Sun 17-Dec-17 07:45:37

Morning night owls, slept until 6.30, so relatively good. Sorry your digestion was more troublesome than usual, annie, hope the puppy slept well. That sounds really difficult janed3, as you say the noise can be comforting but it’s still intrusive. I wish I had your stamina billyb, I’d certainly get more done. Pleased you made your drive safely notag , we do cope in spite of disturbed nights. Doesn’t mean we like them though. Rest when you can everyone.

My brain whizzes around at 100mph. Tried yoga, warm baths, peppermint tea, cocoa, soothing music etc., yet to have a good nights sleep.

Billybob4491 Sun 17-Dec-17 06:48:17

Its 6.45am have washed, dressed had breakfast, tidied up, prepared lunch, cleaned bathroom, and I have been awake since 2,30am, not unusual for me, what does surprise me is I never seem to run out of steam during the day.

Good morning Jane smile Does the machine disturb you frequently ?

JaneD3 Sun 17-Dec-17 05:55:46

Hello Annie and NotaGran. Listening to the hiss of Dh’s CPAP machine. It is better than listening for him to stop breathing and prodding him every few minutes grin. Hope you are all asleep!

NotAGran55 Sun 17-Dec-17 05:35:24

I woke again at 0300 and at 0510 which is my normal pattern . I had hoped that I would have done better after yesterday's 10 hour Liverpool run on 3 hours and 41 minutes of sleep the night before , but no such luck .
I hope you are asleep now Annie .

Anniebach Sun 17-Dec-17 02:53:26

2.45am, reflux really bad yet ate the same as usual, baffling.

Glad fewer are having troubled nights,

Anniebach Sat 16-Dec-17 16:18:03

Will try it Crafting thank you x

Crafting Sat 16-Dec-17 15:51:29

annie have you tried peppermint tea? That's supposed to be calming and help with indigestion. Hope you are ok x

Anniebach Sat 16-Dec-17 10:18:02

Hello Bella ?X

Bellanonna Sat 16-Dec-17 09:27:08

Hello Annie. Often thinking of you x

Anniebach Sat 16-Dec-17 08:38:57

I drink the tea at 3.00 because the warmth eases the wind which has built up since I go to bed at midnight, I do not eat after 6.00pm the night before.

NotAGran55 Sat 16-Dec-17 03:40:35

Good morning . I have been awake since 3 and can't seem to go back . I hope this isn't it as we have a 400 mile return drive today to pick up our son from uni . I'm a terrible sleeper waking every 2 hours and my night often finishes by 430 which is bad enough ahead of a day's work but 3 is a step too far . I try not to use my iPad in the night as it's supposed to be stimulating but I was bored turning the pillow over and over .

Annie - I thought that tea ( caffeine ) was a bad for reflux and also eating / drinking within 3 hours of going to bed/ laying down ?

Anniebach Sat 16-Dec-17 03:20:02

3.10am, same old , I am so tired,

Anniebach Fri 15-Dec-17 12:10:44

I take all I need into the bedroom at bedtime as this 3.00am thing has been going on for ages. Kettle, mugs, iPad, phone and dogs , all on a trolley - not the dogs? And wheel them out in morning. Hate going into kitchen at night.

silverlining48 Fri 15-Dec-17 10:53:54
